C/O 2021 University of Arizona

Post by MountainWest » Tue Nov 21, 2017 12:16 pm

Starting a Thread. On status checker it stated that any applications received by 11/1 would have a decision by 11/21 up until yesterday. Now that it is 11/21 that message has been removed from the status checker. Thoughts?

I noticed the same thing. This is just a complete guess, but I saw in another thread (maybe last year’s posting?) that they had some major admissions staff turnover last year. This could be tied to them still trying to get their processes right.

I do not know if you or anyone else saw it but they have created their own status checker. I received an email this morning about it. However, it was in the promotions folder of Gmail. Given they are implementing this many changes, you are probably right about it being due to staff turnover.

Agreed! Good money + solid employment numbers makes a strong case for them in my book.

Ahhh ... just logged into my personal status page and snow is falling on the page! Gee, I'd love to think that means something. Anyone?

Applied yesterday and in today! I always thought 24 hour admits were an urban legend! No scholarship info. The portal for admitted students implies I have something (and I expect something). Splitter applicant but well above 75% LSAT and just above 25% UGPA.

While this is a safety school for me, it's also on the "very likely I'll attend list" as well. I was actually planning on attending UofA in 2005 and pursuing their JD/PhD program back then.

So I'm pretty excited to see the offer. I'm going for my visit in mid January. I'll miss admitted students day, as I'm traveling during that weekend.

I was accepted on Tuesday, then got notification of a near-full ride scholarship today. I'm going to have to squeeze a visit to Tucson in.

Hey guys congrats on all the admissions! I applied January 22nd and about 3 weeks ago my status on their status checking page changed from new application to committee review. Does anyone have any idea of how much longer it might be until I receive a decision?

Question for admits - do you mind sharing the first deposit deadline? Was put on the waitlist today and am trying to get a better idea of the admissions timeline. Thanks!

Seat Deposit 1 is April 16
Seat Deposit 2 is June 1

These are the set dates and vary by student, mine in April 2.

In today! LSAT 162. Wondering whether they'll offer a scholarship.

Congratulations! I was in the same boat with that score. Scholarship information will come in a separate email and will also be included in the package you get in the mail. They offered quite a nice scholarship, but I'm not familiar with Tuscon and haven't had a chance to compare it to Phoenix.

I believe it's April 2nd for accepting scholarship offers. I received an email yesterday offering to extend the deadline to April 16th if I attend the admitted students event.

Great! When did you apply? Did it take a while for your app to go to committee review?

I applied on March 6, and got an e-mail about an application status update this morning.

P.S. I'm not sure when it went to committee review. I didn't track it closely. I guess I am chill like that 8) Good luck!
