I totally agree. It seems like everyone got scholarship info in the first wave.

In with a decent merit scholarship! First year full tuition, then lower the next 2 years. Good to have an option close to home.

Have you been able to find out anything more about the "priority waitlist?"

Any guesses as to when those admitted without scholarship offers attached will receive some $ info? Was certainly hoping for everything at once... Lucky folks in that first wave!

Their website says Scholarship comes out in January, and I emailed them about it, and if you didnt get info in your email you should get something after Jan.

In the past you still had to apply and get approved (eg change your Drivers license and stuff) but they assume you will get in state.

Hay beautiful people!!!!!

Would those of you who have been admitted (congrats!!!!) be willing to share what the subject line of your email notification says? CU is my top choice and I don't want to sink into depression if the subject says "Decision reached" even though the body of the email contains the goods.

Thanks in advance 8) 8) 8) 8)

IM not sure they are working a heavy load this week anyways, dont base review times for after new years to before. The Admin staff is busy with current students and stuff during the year, now that its winter they will have more time to pump out decisions. Just dont expect a good scholarship this year :p

Why do you think that this will be a rough year scholarship-wise?

Because they don't give good scholarships. The best they do is ~60% but other schools higher then then have given way more

I can't argue with your facts but would say that what you should be focused on isn not how much scholarship they give you, but rather how much true COA is left after the scholarship. CU's base tuition is far less than many schools. They may give you $10,000 less than school B but if their annual cost is $30,000 less than school B you're still better off at CU (assuming they are peer schools). Of course is you're talking schools that offer different opportunities (high ranking) and more $ it's a completely different deal.
Your facts are correct and you're probably assuming that folks are taking this type of approach. I just wanted to put it out there in case anyone isn't as well versed as you and thinks that the scholly amount is the most important number.

COA in Boulder is pretty expensive though too is the thing as well, it's a good school, but their placement isn't great enough for them to be only giving people with 165+ the same offer they give people just above their medians. It's like everyone above ~160 depending on GPA gets the same offer. And that to mean Seema weird and doesn't show they have any interest in people.

Long-time lurker here that got 'preferred waitlisted'.... bummed, as I was right at their 50ths for GPA and LSAT. I had a very strong interest in their environmental law program too. Looking at last year's cycle for Colorado it appears that no one (on LSN) got off the wailist. Any success stories out there?

I got dinged here today...once again another ding for a school that should have been a safe bet. Every school that I had to disclose C&F issues to has dinged my except for 1 - Washington and Lee. I know there are others out there with C&F concerns, and I'd be happy to relate my own experiences if any of you PM me.

I am sorry to hear this Dasseeker. I have some disclosures from a while ago (mostly over 8 years ago) and most of them are really minor; I too have wondered how much that has played a role in admissions decisions. Are the disclosures recent events, or a long time ago?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
