It's going to be a fun ride. That said, I spent a weekend in Columbia and they are quickly moving up my list.kmac1243 wrote:Thank you! The building is absolutely fantastic. They put a lot of thought into the design, and absolutely covered the place with study rooms. The classrooms are very high tech, and each has a foyer so that late entries don't let in hallway noise. And the main hall/ceremonial courtroom is a showpiece.
It's on a campus that feels like most other state university campuses I've been on, and there are neighborhoods with plenty of places to eat and drink on two sides of the campus.
None of this should be your primary consideration in choosing a law school, but South Carolina doesn't leave anything to be desired in terms of facilities or location, unless you can't imagine being in a smaller city.

Thank you. Columbia is substantially larger than were I am right now, and is the size of where I spent the past decade, so the size of Columbia seems perfect. I'm also intrigued with living in SC or NC and have some family an hr away from Columbia -- I'll apply, thanks again. If they give full rides, and I can get one (+4 from their median lsat), I'll probably attend

Received an email with scholly info and amount three days ago! If you haven’t received one yet, just wait it out. I guess they review that stuff separately from the initial review of your app.

Anybody know how willing SC is to negotiate? I got the out of state equalizer, but it's still way more expensive than some of the other school around their ranking for me.
