I didn't see a thread for this cycle. Has anyone's application gone into review on the status checker? I submitted 10/2 and no change since going complete.

I emailed the admissions office with my stats and asked, they turned down my request for a merit based waiver - said they are only doing need based this cycle. I submitted an application for a need based waiver (just had to fill out a form and attach my W-2 from last year) since I'm in undergrad and have under 10k of taxable income I received a code within two days. Not sure what they're cutoffs for need are though, just know I qualified.clueless801 wrote:Checking in. I'm reviewing a draft of this app right now. My PS needs minor edits, and I need to change stuff on my DS before I'm ready to finaaallllyyy submit. What's the dealio with getting fee waivers tho?
My best friend works at Latham and she says there's quite a few Fordham grads there. She says that's pretty true of a lot of the other BigLaw firms so Fordham actually isn't a bad choice if you're shooting for NYC BigLaw. A paralegal at my firm who did Fordham PT just completed his summer associateship at Fried Frank this past summer.dietcoked wrote:Checking in. Will apply soon-ish. I think I have a decent shot. 3.34/168 (but retaking in December) Once I finish my personal statement, etc. etc. My cousin goes there currently and got a $180k Big Law offer so that's nice!
If anyone’s curious - they do not hold apps according to their website.clueless801 wrote:Also - does Fordham not hold apps if we're taking December LSAT?
I left my December registration off of my app. They still received it through my CAS file and held my app. I had to email them to have them release the hold. This has been consistent for all of my apps so far. Even if I leave my December LSAT registration off on app, they see it through LSAC and place a hold anyway. I have had to email every school I've applied to so far to have them release the hold.clueless801 wrote:If anyone’s curious - they do not hold apps according to their website.clueless801 wrote:Also - does Fordham not hold apps if we're taking December LSAT?
My status checker has remained at complete since mid October, but the status date changed to 11/13. I’m inclined to believe that Fordham doesn’t have an in review designation.audrinainlaw wrote:Submitted 10/13, application is complete but my current status date changed to 10/27. Don't recall what date it first went complete but I know it went complete well before 10/27. I wonder if it ever actually goes "Under Review" or if the current status date just changes while it remains at "Complete".
I agree. Just noticed my status date has changed to 11/3. Though for me I think this is due to having them release the hold for the December LSAT. Best of luck to you!VDubbs wrote:My status checker has remained at complete since mid October, but the status date changed to 11/13. Checking in. I got this same date change. I’m hoping we see something before Thanksgiving.VDubbs wrote:My status checker has remained at complete since mid October, but the status date changed to 11/13. Last year the first acceptance wave was around this time (11/15), year before that, a few acceptances on 11/15 and the first "wave" on 11/20. So we'll see Fingers crossed for everyonegmenold wrote:Checking in, same boat here with the date change.CoastieLaw21 wrote:Checking in. I got this same date change. Depends on what you are looking for (night life, commute time, willingness for roommates etc.). Fordham is in a premium location, so a place in Manhattan is pretty pricey for not a ton of space. There is Graduate Housing avaialable. Some people live in Astoria, Queens, or NJ. Commute is longer, but again, depends on priorities.barcafan202 wrote:Considering applying but not sure about housing in NYC, where do Fordham students live? the COL in NYC seems too high to me
