I feel like my parents, mentors, and everyone else has a top 4 list that they constantly feel the urge to tell me about.

Based of previous years, it looks like another wave of decisions could be next week (Feb 1 or 2). Yale is one of three I'm waiting to hear back from (Stanford and Columbia). Yale (unsurprisingly) is my top choice, so once I have an answer from them, my cycle is pretty much over.

Your Mom sounds incredibly sweet - don't forget to call her today! I'm justifying my lack of submission on the fact that one of my recommenders still hasn't written...

one employer LOR and one professor LOR. It may not seem like a big deal but I just found out Asha really stresses two prof LORs. Also made a grammatical error I did not know was an error (lived in China for most my life, international schooling & some years stateside for eng). Yale was honestly a whim and I don't expect to get in, but knowing that I basically broke my application is super disheartening.
Can you quickly get another professor LOR and submit? Not sure how that process goes but I imagine it's posisble! Also if you've been out of school for a while i think it's okay

+1 to adding an LOR! I'm sure a typo won't be a deal breaker, either. Even Yale adcomms make them too.... That's in the Ask Asha blog as well!

Also, since you're an international, I wouldn't sweat a minor grammatical mistake - I mean, honestly, how many adcoms/applicants do you think speak/write 2+ languages fluently? You're already impressive!

What's the quickest Yale turnaround you've heard of? As in, date completed to admitted.

Yo my math professor said the same thing a few years ago. Thankfully she finished my letter a long time ago, but I deffo feel you about hearing omens of "boredness" because of knowing stuff like elementary topology and lebesgue integration :P
