Re: Yale c/o 2021 Applicants Thread (2017-2018)
I know this has been asked in previous years before but is there anyone who only filled out part (a) for "College activities." I didn't have any paid opportunities or "other activities" to list for parts b and c.

Officially checking in now that I have an LSAT that might be deemed worthy. Will need to actually write that Y250 idea I've been sitting on.

May I ask how you got them to honor yours? Sorry this is an old post...cheeseras wrote:Applied! 180, 3.79 from HYPS undergrad, feeling pretty good about my writing but who knows.
Also, for anybody with an LSAC fee waiver, Yale seems to suggest on its website that they don't honor them, but they honored mine. Nice surprise this morning.

I didn't do anything, when I went to check out on the LSAC website it just popped up as waived.sunniebunnie wrote:May I ask how you got them to honor yours? Sorry this is an old post...cheeseras wrote:Applied! 180, 3.79 from HYPS undergrad, feeling pretty good about my writing but who knows.

Hey guys! I'm a 1L and I just wanted to wish you luck.
Don't worry too much about Asha no longer being there. The adcomm in general is awesome and has a lot of experience. The entire system won't fall apart without her.
Also, don't freak out about it taking a long time to hear back. The professors are brilliant, which means some of them are true procrastinators and so will take a very long time to get their evaluations back to adcomm. I didn't get my notification until mid-April--I think about a week before ASW. (In fact, I already had plans for that weekend and had to cancel last minute.)

That must have been intense:"Uhhhhhhh, sorry to do this to you, but I kinda got into the best law school in the world and I have to go visit. Take a raincheck perhaps?"GnosisExchange wrote:Hey guys! I'm a 1L and I just wanted to wish you luck.

I’m in the same boat. I think there is an email, but I’m not expecting to receive it before the end of this week considering holiday madness.socalisgood wrote:sent my app in before the holidays, got a received email. is there another email for "app complete?"

I was admitted on the first wave a couple weeks ago. For those stressing about the Y250 -- mine was a slightly cheeky take on why everybody should learn to juggle. I ended with "besides, it's a great party trick. Everybody loves a juggler." So I don't think you need to necessarily submit a dissertation quality argument. Just something that shows you know how to put sentences together effectively. And I think humor never hurts.

Yeah they send an "Electronic Application" and then an "Application Complete" email. Mine were 4 days apart#gobroncos wrote:I’m in the same boat.
