I'm UR1. Submitted 10/27; complete 11/2. Hoping I get in on the first wave of decisions.

UR 2 Today. Is this any indication either way or par for the course?

Not sure of any real significance, it seems as if people are going UR2 slowly, with those applying earliest changing before those who applied later. Do you mind me asking when you applied?playmaker093 wrote:UR 2 Today. Is this any indication either way or par for the course?

Yeah, I'm also wondering if UR2 means anything besides the fact that it has been handed over to a second reader. I'm wondering if it isn't a good thing or a bad thing (unless you count moving forward in the process a goo thing. Then it's certainly good)playmaker093 wrote:UR 2 Today. It seems to me like being UR2 just means you're being read by another member of the admissions committee. And based on the status checker, you need to be reviewed at least two members before they give you a decision. So I'm hoping that I'll go UR2 soon enough to be in the first wave of admits. I'm still at UR1. Complete 11/2.

Beats me, but this is the first T13 I've gone UR2 for so I'm just happy to see some movement. It'd be nice to know what all this means to help cure our anxiety, though.wannabegenius wrote:Yeah, I'm also wondering if UR2 means anything besides the fact that it has been handed over to a second reader. That's what I've always thought - UR2 means you were sent to the next person. But that's all just speculation of coursealbinododobird wrote:It seems to me like being UR2 just means you're being read by another member of the admissions committee. Same! Any predictions for when RD applicants will start hearing decisions? Is there a quick turnaround between UR2 and decision?jkander31 wrote:I went UR2 today.

I can see how a super fast UR2 could be either really good or really bad. Like the first person either really loved you or really hated you. But I speculate that going UR2 in an average amount of time probably means your fate is just one normal step closer to being sealed.tmcauliffe96 wrote:That's what I've always thought - UR2 means you were sent to the next person. I read on their Tumblr (apparently they have a Tumblr) that it usually takes 8-12 weeks from the time your application is complete for a decision to be rendered.

Re: Penn Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
It hasn't been 8 weeks on mine (complete on 10/18) but I guess a decision is coming faster because I'm ED. When I spoke to an adcom at the forum she said that ED decisions will be out before January 1.jkander31 wrote:I read on their Tumblr (apparently they have a Tumblr) that it usually takes 8-12 weeks from the time your application is complete for a decision to be rendered.
Penn, if you're reading this, please have a wave by the end of this week so I can go back to being a productive member of society.

Looking at past forums, it seems pretty likely ED decisions will come out next week.wannabegenius wrote:It hasn't been 8 weeks on mine (complete on 10/18) but I guess a decision is coming faster because I'm ED.
