I could get lower? I will probably take June and apply next year after if I don't get in anywhere. But I want to apply as early as possibleda.goat wrote:I'm a little confused - why don't you just retake in December and not have a sub 165 LSAT?wannabegenius wrote:Would you rather have a sub 165 LSAT? maybe they'll pair us together and we both get inJack_Kelly wrote:Checking in, but a major reach given their attitude toward sub-3.5 GPAs.

No school (except maybe Y) will care if you get a lower score. My cycle, I applied in October with a *fine* score but asked all the schools to hold off reviewing my application until my December score came in. You will have a much better chance applying somewhat later with a higher score than you will now with a sub 165. Even with the Dec test, I got significant money from several T13s. You have nothing to lose by taking Dec and everything to gainwannabegenius wrote:I could get lower? I will probably take June and apply next year after if I don't get in anywhere. If they hold off, doesn't that mean all the spots will be filled? Maybe you went up a lot, but I am a horrible testtaker and feel as though I could still get lower rather than higher. Yes, I already know the bar isn't going to go well...da.goat wrote:No school (except maybe Y) will care if you get a lower score. The spots will definitely not be filled. If you're really worried you can apply now and not tell them to hold off, and just update them with your hopefully higher score later. But I would be way more worried about getting rejected with a <165 than about the spots filling up by the time you send your updated score in Januarywannabegenius wrote:If they hold off, doesn't that mean all the spots will be filled? Re: Penn Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Hey all, checking in.
I am submitting my ED app fairly soon. Admission with my numbers would be, quite literally, like winning the lottery.
GPA 3.47 / LSAT 165 (I'm still finishing school, reportable GPA will be more along the lines of ~3.62)
Active duty Army for six years, Afghanistan combat veteran (worked with Green Berets and Navy Seals as a combat photographer), completed schooling mostly during Army career. Gratefully, GI Bill/Yellow Ribbon would cover tuition and cost of living.
It's really a shot in the dark, but I hear that Penn is looking to up their veteran admissions. It's always been in my top 3, and I have plenty of great fallback schools that I would be thrilled to attend if/WHEN I'm ultimately rejected.
I like to think it's $35 well spent.

Submitted a couple days ago for RD. I really like Philly and would take a strong look at Penn with a scholarship.

On last year's thread, looks like people that submitted in September and October went under review on 21 Novemberlobsicle wrote:Anyone know when they usually start reviewing apps?
