It definitely takes a little white to go UR1, I was complete 10/23 and I didn't go UR1 until 11/17

The welcome packet says merit-based award nominations begin in January on a rolling basis. There is no separate application, but You may be contacted and asked to write an additional essay for any given award. Final eligibility notification is rolling beginning in March.

Every school sent you an email soon after you applied. Respond to that email saying you wish to withdraw your app. Some might ask why, but they will all comply within a few days. You should do this today.

Do you mean the one with the status checker? And yeah, I have the email I'm sending them all typed out. I just want to make sure there is no official form or anything I'm supposed to fill out. Thanks!

I do mean that one! I sent them all an email saying only, "I would like to inform you that I am withdrawing my application here. I apologize." I didn't give them any information other than my full name, and they responded promptly with a friendly confirmation that they'd followed through with my request.

For people who were accepted, did they just call or did you also get an email?

RD Applicant-Why Penn- 2 optional essays-

11/13 - Submitted
11/20 - Complete
12/6 - UCR 1
12/14 - UCR 2

Looking at last years cycle looks like first wave of RD decisions came out around 12/20? Hoping for a yes next week!

Based on last years trend, the first RD admits were form the first UR2 batch. So Im gonna guess that the first decisions are for people UR2 on 11/30, maybe one or two people from 12/5. The next wave will be mostly 12/5 and 12/6.

So, last year's cycle had ED acceptances on a Tuesday, and RD the following week. The year before that, ED was on a Monday, and RD was on that Friday. This is pure speculation, but it's possible that--if things hold from the 2015-2016 cycle--we'll hear tomorrow?
