+1. Is anyone UR yet?
+1
And I am not UR. Have been complete since 10/18 but I applied ED.

not sure how this works but here goes:
GPA: 3.6 [blah state school. easy major - Psychology]
LSAC GPA: 3.56
LSAT take one 163: [sat for it cold, no prep. so essentially a "diagnostic" only not ... because it was the actual LSAT]
LSAT take two 178: [almost cancelled]
URM: AfAm Female
softs: somewhere between nonexistent and unimpressive

haha! Thanks. I’m no “Woe is Me”. I am grateful & proud. bbbbbut I’m a little concerned about it being 10+/- uneventful years since undergrad. Everything else about my app besides URM+numbers thing I’ve got going on will be quite unremarkable.

I wrote a more traditional why penn as opposed to the "what defines you" prompt, so I'm weary of submitting it as an optional essay and the admissions people thinking "wow he really did not read the prompt."
I felt the same way and submitted mine under "additional info."

Penn's listing me as "Application received and processing." Haven't seen that on any other status checkers... does that mean it's complete? It's UR? Or isn't even complete yet...?

Per LSN, their first decisions last year came out on 12/13 and 12/20, with a seemingly much bigger wave on 1/12.

Hello from the future
Well this could directly ruin my finals week. But thanks for this Platopus! Also, any ideas for a new poll? Last year's thread had some cool polls so let's continue the tradition!

Checking in!
GPA: 3.945
LSAT: 174
URM
Strong softs
Applied 10/15, went complete 10/18
I didn't write a "Why Penn?" essay but I've been thinking about sending one to the Admissions Office since I've read that they do care about that... any thoughts on whether or not that'd be a good idea?

With your stats I would say yes just so that you don't get yield protected. You're pretty much above both 75ths so it can't hurt and I've heard that Penn likes "Why Penn" essays.

Applied ED to Penn, should I submit a Why Penn? I assumed since I was ED I wouldn't have to explain to them that they were my top choice.

Finally submitted with a Why Penn. Not super confident here with a 3.74/168, but definitely worth it with a fee waiver.

Don't judge me for being dumb but for some reason in the blur of applications i thought I attached my Why Penn and didn't. I just went under review today, would it look bad to send it now or would it help??? Stats 166/3.5
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
