Has anyone requested a fee waiver and gotten one?

BU only provides fee waivers through the CRS program, not on request. I didn't get one, but plenty of people report that they did.peege wrote:Has anyone requested a fee waiver and gotten one?

Re: Boston University C/O 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Checking in here, I applied to the Distinguished Scholar Program and was wondering if they usually come back right around the response deadline or if they typically come back earlier? Guess it doesn't matter, despite the answer I'm going to be refreshing the checker constantly. I'm a bit strapped for cash so I'm putting off my other applications until I get a response back from ED, it's scary! (My hopes are pretty high, I'm just about median for GPA and >75 for LSAT. Not much data on MyLSN but there are at least a couple people with my similar scores who have gotten ED in the few years prior.) Any other people applying for Distinguished Scholars?

Checking in: application complete since appx. 10/20
Also FYI, based on last year, decisions likely begin around 11/28-ish.

I got a fee waiver, they were nice about it. Just sent my info both financial and scores. Most law schools have said yes when I do this.

Good point. I forgot about need based waivers, looks like they do grant those.thatguy2017 wrote:I got a fee waiver, they were nice about it. Just sent my info both financial and scores. Most law schools have said yes when I do this.

Accepted as a distinguished scholar via phone call at about 2pm today! For reference: 172, 3.92, mediocre softs (highlight: 1 great internship with a judge). Good luck everyone!

Distinguished Scholar is one of two binding programs at BU. It is ED.jibrahim23 wrote:Congrats!
