Anxiously opening my Stanford status checker has become a morning ritual. Still alive though!

the second between pressing enter and the status checker loading is the most anxious moment of my dayDowsingForAJD wrote:Anxiously opening my Stanford status checker has become a morning ritual. Still alive though!

Mine also takes an extremely long time to load. Like at least twice as long as any of the other status checkers. My anxiety goes through the roof...

Does the phone call always precede the DLS notification, or have there been cases of people who went DLS first and got the call later?

I think people have said DLS first means a ding/WL. Whomp whomp (I also feel acute anxiety for the 1.5 seconds it takes my status checker to load each morning).SopranoSaxophone wrote:Does the phone call always precede the DLS notification, or have there been cases of people who went DLS first and got the call later?

Does anyone know the dates for Admit Weekend? I was admitted via email (international) but I haven't got the package yet. Thanks!

I haven't been fortunate enough to receive a call, but as a Palo Alto local I believe it would be 65038981928 wrote:Congrats! Re: Stanford Law Applicants c/o 2021
My guess is they're doing auto-admits in roughly chronological order based on their website, though I'm sure there's some small variation based on who's reading your stuff, skipping everyone who is even remotely borderline until their application closes (based on how many people submitted in September, myself included, and haven't had a status change), and rejecting people they know they won't admit or WL in chronological order as well. Then I think they're going to go back through and sort people like me into admit/WL/reject once they have every application in. Your numbers are way better than mine so they might just be slightly out of order or your KJD status might be bumping you back since I know it's been a tough cycle in that regard!april_ludgate wrote:Does stanford always go strictly in chronological order? Haven't there already been rejections this cycle though?gotmilk332 wrote:http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/timeline/chart/

I think we've mainly seen status checkers saying DLS but i haven't seen people confirm it. I could be wrong!! I haven't paid a ton of attention to that oddly enough.subpoenacolada wrote:Haven't there already been rejections this cycle though?gotmilk332 wrote:http://mylsn.info/r/pre-law/timeline/chart/

Also this year's cycle could be different, or that could be for people who applied earlier, not sure. All I'm saying is I think that not having a response yet could mean anything given that chart! Feel free to correct me I'm just speculating

Has anyone gotten in without a targeted LOR? I did both of the optional essays but I'm worried that lack of targeted LOR will hurt me.

Re: Stanford Law Applicants c/o 2021
didnt have one either. honestly would have been so much hassle to have my writers take their letters and just replace "law school" with "Stanford Law School." and in the end it would have sounded contrived
