2 people on LSN have updated their status to acceptance off the waitlist in the past 15 days. Haven't done further research to confirm whether they specifically received that answer in the past 15 days or if they just happened to update their profiles on those days. It seems like it might've happened recently though as all other waitlist movement updates were over a month ago
Also checking the LSA subreddit every day. The feeler email may be indicative of movement spurred by their 2nd deposit deadline on 6/1 (they sent it late afternoon, so maybe they were looking at their numbers and thinking that they weren't getting as many deposits as they wanted to be), but it also could be nothing. The general consensus is that they do periodically send feelers even if they aren't necessarily ready to tap the list yet
Thanks!!

@lawschoolmus Have you decided if you're accepting the offer? Has anyone else heard anything from the school since 6/1?
Thanks, and best of luck to everyone waiting! While I've been accepted to several places, UCD is my #1 choice

I havent heard anything from the school since 06/01. Hoping to get some news soon. Do you think they will notify us if we are denied off the waitlist this month too or do they wait until school starts to deny us so it gives them a pool of candidates till the end?Nooloo wrote:@lawschoolmus Have you decided if you're accepting the offer? @sambam They keep students on the waitlist until as late at August 17 it seems. I don't think they take people off the waitlist prior to that in looking at prior threads. I hope there's movement soon, maybe on Friday, June 15.

Also hoping for movement on 6/15 but I also wonder if we might get more news / movement after they close the application deadline on 6/30. It's possible that they don't fully solidify the count of what they have and what they don't until after that timesambam wrote:Thanks for the info! Praying for us both! @UM2014, you may be right although I can't imagine too many people applying between now and then *fingers crossed* I hope the three of us (@sambam also) receive some form of positive communication by week's end or at least early next week, given that it seems they made at least 1 waitlist offer last week with a response deadline of 6/15.

Neither did I. I'm hoping there's some sort of update or even a reconfirmation next week.

Re: UC Davis Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Hey just joined TLS just to jump on this thread.
UC Davis is my first choice and I’m anxiously on the waitlist too.
I got the reconfirmation email on the 1st too. Did everyone receive it? If so, I guess it didn’t mean much. No movement since then for me either.
My stats are Lsat<25th, GPA>50th, female, non URM, non CA resident. My lsat was accomdated.
Anyone want to give me their insight on my chances? Should I just give up and stop hoping? The stress is getting to me.
Best of luck/wishes to everyone!

A person on the UC Davis Waitlist Reddit thread called about a week ago to request an update about the waitlist, and the officer indicated that they were happy with their class at the moment, but to keep responding to reconfirmation emails if you wish to remain on the waitlist

MissM, I'm with you as UC Davis is my #1 choice also, and this whole thing has been really stressful. I am going to ride out the waitlist though.

@Nooloo,
Damn. Link to that reddit thread? What do you plan on doing? I already sent a LOCI, and I’m afraid to call or send an email.
Did you make deposits elsewhere? What do you think of transferring? I’m kind of dreading going to go to the school I paid a deposit to.

I'm going to ride out this waitlist until then end. I've deposited to other schools that I'm not excited about either.

just spoke with uc davis and their class is full. 2nd deposit deadline has passed. They said a few spots may become available throughout the summer if admitted students get off the waitlist at other schools and they drop. But even then only a few students more may be pulled off the waitlist which also is unlikely.

@Sambam, do you have a sense of how many people are on the waitlist?

@sambam and anyone else, do you think there may be any movement after release of the June LSAT scores on 6/29?

Re: UC Davis Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I don't think the June LSAT will trigger much of anything, most everyone taking the June should and probably are planning to use that score next cycle. My remaining vestiges of hope are pinned on USC's 2nd deposit deadline on 7/1, and the general understanding that some schools give double depositers until around 7/1 before threatening to take their spot. It seems like, compared to redditors, my thoughts on that would be considered more optimistic than realistic thoughNooloo wrote:@sambam and anyone else, do you think there may be any movement after release of the June LSAT scores on 6/29?

Perhaps there will be movement pending any new acceptances off the waitlist from USC, as you said @UM2014, as well as Cal, UCI, and UCLA?
*Fingers crossed*

Re: UC Davis Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
UCI & UCLA do seem to be trickling, but my understanding is that their 2nd deadlines have both already passed so they seem to just be slowly filling the resulting gaps. USC's 2nd deadline is still up in the air though so I am hoping that will cause a bigger wave rather than just a handful at a time. Keeping in mind that I'm not an expert, so all of these are just guessesNooloo wrote:Perhaps there will be movement pending any new acceptances off the waitlist from USC, as you said @UM2014, as well as Cal, UCI, and UCLA?
