Regular decision apps are accepted whenever, decisions just aren’t made until after the early decisions have been made

Does anybody know when the admissions committee actually starts to review ED applications? I submitted mine last week, but am still waiting on a third letter of recommendation to be submitted. I want to make sure my recommender gets the letter in before my application is reviewed.

Don't remember exactly what they said about when they start reviewing but based on the fact that they want a heads up about December retakes I'd say contact admissions and let them know.

Did y'all strictly adhere to the two page limit for your personal statement? I can get mine to two pages if I make the spacing something like 1.5, but I am having a hard time getting to two double spaced pages. I know that is a silly thing to ask about, but I am curious.

Took about a week and a half for me

I got my status checker Saturday morning.

So I had a 165 in June after studying since January and then after June only did drills but without taking a full length test and only on and off and somehow got a 172 in September. Do I need to write an addendum? And what would I even say? "I studied less and did better"

I think you would be fine doing one, but it also won't hurt you not to do one. I heard one of their admissions representatives say that they usually like to see an LSAT Addenda for score jumps that are above the average (which I think is something like 3-4 points), but I don't think its required. Seven points is a sizable jump (congratulations by the way, that is an awesome improvement), but it isn't such an astronomical leap that you should feel the need to explain yourself. If you do decide to write one, you can keep it to a few sentences that basically say something standard about how you focused on improving, and dedicated more time and effort to preparation. They don't need to know you studied less.

Tl;Dr: Really up to you, won't hurt you either way. Congratulations on a solid improvement.

That makes sense. I'll probably do one. Thanks for the congrats!! I was honestly caught off guard when it came back. I was hoping for a 167. Anyway, since that score I've looked at a lot of different options, but UT still remains close to my heart. Hope to see you in August!
