Completed my interview this week and was wondering if they record/can watch the preparation time? My camera light was on and I could see/adjust myself. I did not maintain professionalism during that time and I'm worried that is going to count against me.

I called myself an idiot in between video responses for Cornell's interview and got in yesterday. I am almost certain they can't see that.cooleyclassof2021 wrote:Completed my interview this week and was wondering if they record/can watch the preparation time? Hooray!/Darn!
I've been invited to interview, in spite of sending a "Why Texas". Good thing I'm going up to my parents' house this weekend, and can try it on different computers than the ones that failed for Northwestern.

3.76/162 Non-URM. I'm honestly shocked they haven't outright rejected me yet, I know my numbers are crap. Maybe it helps that I'm disabled? Idk.NeneLeakesss_409 wrote:If you don't mind me asking, what are your stats and are you URM?megs384 wrote:Finally broke radio silence with an interview request yesterday!! Elated but also terrified. We don't have c/o 2020 quartiles yet, but you're over GPA median, and at the 25th LSAT from c/o 2019. That's no auto-ding, and if they saw something else they like in your app, they're probably interested. An interview is a good sign, from what we've been told.megs384 wrote:3.76/162 Non-URM. Out of curiosity, what do you mean "from what we've been told?" Like is that coming from somebody at UT?wmbuff wrote:We don't have c/o 2020 quartiles yet, but you're over GPA median, and at the 25th LSAT from c/o 2019. I applied ED and I'm in state with 166/3.49, and am getting very worried that I haven't gotten an interview request. It seems to me that they're interviewing candidates that they like but aren't auto acceptances from their numbers. My numbers are between the 25-50 percentiles, so I imagine I'd be on the bubble, and am taking my lack of interview request to mean that I'm probably going to be rejected.

Yeah; they talked on this at the law day thing and they’re trying to interview a higher percentage of admitted students this year.ebrook93 wrote:Out of curiosity, what do you mean "from what we've been told?" Like is that coming from somebody at UT?
Edit: I’d say that you shouldn’t take it as a ding—it’s still kinda early for ED—they have until the end of January.)

I relate! I'm a 164/3.7. Haven't heard back yet and I'm scared it indicates a rejection. Praying otherwise and trying to stay optimistic!ebrook93 wrote:Out of curiosity, what do you mean "from what we've been told?" I got an interview request like 2 days after submitting app materials... Can anyone who has done the interview shed some light on what sorts of questions are asked? This will be my first LS interview.

It's fairly simple. Expect basic questions like "Why law? Why Texas" etc... It's not going to be unique to your application, but there may be slight variance from application to application.Jakovenko wrote:I got an interview request like 2 days after submitting app materials... UT Law Admissions just tweeted that they made their first round of calls for ED admits today. Did anybody get a call?

Hi guys! Can anyone who's interviewed walk me through your experience? I'm planning to record it tonight, but am debating what to wear, where to record, and whether or not answering all the practice questions is worth it. I went through the Kira practice run over and over again until the questions started repeating themselves lol. Are the questions different in the actual interview different?

I'm a guy so I wore a suit jacket and tie. They don't ask you to stand up so you don't need to wear dress pants, I just wore shorts. I recorded mine in my apartment bedroom. The questions in the actual interview are different from the ones in the practice. There are three verbal responses and then one 15 minute writing response.megs384 wrote:Hi guys! I just did mine with the same attire. Glad I had already done a Why Texas.blackmamba8 wrote:I'm a guy so I wore a suit jacket and tie.
