I think it basically means that you have to have hit the submit button by 1/5, and they have to have everything that would cause the app to be considered complete by 1/12. As long as you get the LOR in by the 12th I think you'll be ok.

I haven't heard anything (no date change, no nothing) since the end of October. I haven't considered emailing them because applicants and applications are up so it seems just normal for them to be slower than usual. It's getting to the point where I'm considering emailing them. I don't want to email unnecessarily and be annoying, but this is getting a bit frustrating.
