Thanks! GPA < 25 LSAT = 75, applied 10/15, went complete 10/18, three date changes in January (can't remember exact dates but last one was 1/11). Softs are ok, nothing too over the top, 5+ years w/e and working a political campaign back in 2016. I did write both a Why ND and DKL essay, and I'm pretty sure the big deciding factor was me saying that my 100% Irish Catholic mother needs an actual reason to root for the Irish every fall haha.theurbanzone wrote:Hell yeah! When did you apply, go under review and would you mind sharing your stats, softs?hamshotfirst wrote:Decision made with seat deposits just now! Pumped! ND is definitely one of my top choices!
Good luck to everyone!

Awesome! I'm not Irish, but am Catholic and went to Catholic school all my life - so I hope that helps haha! Congrats!hamshotfirst wrote:Thanks! It is fairly inexpensive to uber or taxi from the airport to campus.

I got my status changed to "decision made" yesterday and got the official email today. I've been talking with the admissions office through the entire process, and apparently the days the waves come every week have been varying, but for the last couple weeks, decisions have been made on Tuesdays with the emails notifying the applicant of the decision going out on Wednesday. Hope this helps!tpeters wrote:Any guesses on when we will get another wave..

Hi! I have a question about living situations. Are there areas to avoid looking for housing if you don't want to be surrounded by loud partying undergrads (nothing against undergrads partying, we've all been there, I'd just prefer to be in a quiet area)? Any inside info on best living areas near the school would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!ndirish2010 wrote:Hey guys, 2013 grad here. Current students-
Can you tell me about the AR application process? Is it very competitive? Is it a ton of work? Just trying to figure out if its worth considering when thinking about overall costs of ND

I had three date changes before final decision, all within about 5-10 days of each other.jules1995 wrote:+1ocw96 wrote:Also wondering this, had second date change this morning!cuzzydunlop wrote:how long on average from 2nd date change to decision made?

Overlook is all grad students and staff, so that would keep you away from undergrads, but it's also quite expensive. The Foundry is expensive AND has a ton of undergrads, so I probably wouldn't go there. Turtle Creek/Clover Village/Campus View (I believe it's Campus View now) is cheap but has a party reputation (same with a lot of the other places in that area, e.g. Irish Row). I mean if you want close to campus and a lack of undergrads, Overlook is probably your best bet outside FOG.hamshotfirst wrote:Hi! I have a question about living situations. You could always go further away from campus too. I lived for over a year in a really quiet apartment complex in Granger (Spring Lake Apartments) that's about a 12 minute drive to campus, and you can get a one bedroom for under $900, two bedroom for under $1000. It's in a really convenient area across the street from Heritage Square. So if you don't mind the commute, I would highly recommend that.

I'm not sure how difficult the application process is as I've never did it, but I have heard from numerous people that it is far easier for girls than for guys. As in, women applicants almost always get an AR position because there are fewer of them.gdj1 wrote:Current students-

2017 Undergrad here. I live in Campus View (turtlecreek/clove village) last year. It is by far the best value when it comes to apartments. $475/month for a 2 bed 1.5 bath 2 story townhouse with a massive living room and backyard space. It is also right across the street from campus. There were occasional parties (I threw some of them) but the people running the complex have become pretty strict when it comes to noise issues. A lot of the parties have moved to the opposite corner of campus in dublin village.ndirish2010 wrote:Overlook is all grad students and staff, so that would keep you away from undergrads, but it's also quite expensive. Once upon a life, there was a story about how little Jonny wanted to go to top-law-schools.com dot com, a robust town eastward bound as he tried to flee the ravages of censorship, and douchebag autocrats in his hometown.

Your 2017 experience definitely counts for more than my 2007-2012 experience, so I defer. Also, is rent really that low still? That's crazy.jgadient76 wrote:2017 Undergrad here.
