yay, the thread i've been waiting for is finally here!

current 1L here, posting from the hogwarts-esque reading room. didn't know anything about michigan a year ago and fell hard and fast for them. i feel like i have a pretty good grasp on their admissions stuff as well as the school itself so feel free to ask me anything throughout the cycle. happy to help with whatever

also here is the thread for asking questions of other current students: http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 4&t=106319

best of luck, all, and go blue!

How hard is it to get a room in the Lawyers Club, especially as a 1L?

Also, if you know, how is the Club food?

I don't live in the lawyers club, so I'm not sure how hard getting a room there is. The food I had once during the preview weekend and once as a guest. it's not bad but nothing special. I've heard it gets old pretty quick.

Know anyone in the Japanese Law program? I'm curious what kind of law will they cover...like Japanese Civil Law? Also, is there a language component? (I checked UM's website already but I got the "page could not be found" error when clicking on a link to the Japanese Law page)
