If my application is sitting at complete would you recommend sending a why michigan essay if I didn't initially. If so, how should one go about sending that additional material?

I don’t see any harm in doing so. You would just email it to them and ask them to attach it to your file.

I got an email a few hours after my status checker changed. No call.

Has anyone gotten the letter yet? Or at least know if it will contain financial aid info?

Actually just opened mine a few minutes ago. Super cute packet with a nice note from Dean Z (tbh might choose Mich just to try to become BFFs with her). Doesn't say anything about financial aid, but a link from the admitted students site says "We begin processing the bulk of our merit scholarships in mid-January" which from past years data seems to be true, give or take a few weeks.

For the person who asked a few posts ago about fin aid: You all don't get that in the acceptance packet. Fin aid is sent out via email. Last cycle, people got an email even if they didn't receive any merit schollies so it's likely the process this year as well.
