i think they are just counting the obscene stacks of money they are going to give us
I didn't see an acceptance reported on LSN for anyone with a complete date after 10/12, so maybe there is a cut off datewise
I think this, plus the gobs of cash, must be it. I didn't get off my butt and submit everything until 10/20 (the self-loathing is real) so I'm sure it means a month's extra wait as penalty.

Huge congrats to everyone who is in!!!!!! Does anyone know if the status checker's "last updated" is always the current date? I've gotten two in the past two days but hadn't checked before then... URM (MA) / 3.97 at ivy / above median LSAT and submitted October 2nd. tailored my PS to be Michigan-specific but didn't write a separate why Michigan.

I submitted on the 14th but I didn't go complete until around the 26th. I was waiting on my LSAT score from my retake, which ended up being the exact same score that I got on my first take. So basically now I'm going to have to wait another month because I waited to submit for absolutely no reason.

Yes, it updates every day to the current date.
Good luck. :)

Anyone know why Michigan doesn't use the LSAC status checker like other schools? This one seems like a downgrade

Spreading some hopes for people who went complete early.

UMich tweeted:
PSA: the first read of apps is roughly in order of app completion, but decisions are not necessarily same order

https://twitter.com/UMichLawAdmit/statu ... 0350639106

I am sooooo GLAD to hear that because my app went complete 10/11...

Thank you for the ray of hope. Michigan is my #1 so this wait is nerve wracking.
