Reading last years thread, it seems like the status checker updated with decisions and a phone call either before/after the update. I've been complete since 10/10, no movement since.

Same, went complete on 10/16 and have heard nothing.

During my interview, they said that they would start reviewing after the early decision deadline has passed. I applied in September and they said I should hear by mid-December. Hope this helps!!

I didn't think that SMU offered interviews.

Through my undergrad institution, they came to visit and offered a select number of interviews!

I'm hoping a decision comes soon!

Agreed, they're taking forever. For this reason, I actually called the admissions office this morning to ask if decisions are expected to be released this week. The receptionist I spoke to was under the impression that decisions won't start coming out until the beginning of January...

Not sure how seriously I should take that, but just thought I'd share with y'all.

lol that's what I was told also without asking. I did notice my status date changed today.

Status tracker says I was admitted (as of today). It also said scholarship budgets are still being finalized and that admits will be notified by mail in early January if they have been awarded a merit-based scholarship.

I haven't got anything from her, and I have been in since the 7th

I got an email from her today.

Well now I'm jealous I haven't received any fancy emails.

According to their website and LSN, the most SMU gives out in scholarship is $90k total over three years. Does anybody know if this is true?

That’s probably right unless you get a Sumners or the other names scholarship (can’t remember what it is).

Anybody have any insider info on when scholarship offers will start rolling out? I know the status checker says some time in January, but I wanted to see if anybody here has more exact info for whatever reason.

I applied on 12/23 and my status is "application completed." I want to apply for The Hatton W. Sumners Scholarship, but it says you must be admitted by Feb. 15. What are the odds I get admitted by then? Is this something I should email their Admissions department about or would that not come across well?

Has anybody gotten a scholarship offer? The admissions office told me offers would be posted on the status checkers and should be there by today, but I don't see anything.

I don't see anything either. The checker itself says that it will come by mail, but the call we received said it will be posted to the status checker. Idk.

Nothing here either, was also unaware that they’d be posted to the status checker. Was just expecting mail
