No movement at all from Vandy. Should I contact my interviewer (I did an alumni interview over Skype) or the school about this?
The school says the following:

"In general, decisions on files completed and submitted for review in September and October are normally rendered from December through January. Decisions on files completed in November or later are normally rendered eight to twelve weeks after the date on which the individual file becomes complete."

I would just continue to wait quietly if I were you.

I think it definitely can! If you're borderline on admissions, or perhaps a scholarship, it could put you over the edge. To me I felt the most confident about getting in following my interview.

That is how I felt too! My alumn told me afterward that she wrote a great recommendation for me, but I am really trying not to let that get my hopes up, especially since my LSAT is below the median.

Currently a student at Vandy, and I know for a fact that interviewing with an admissions officer holds weight. When I showed up to the admitted students reception, the admissions officer that interviewed me definitely remembered me and the things we talked about during the interview.

I was dinged via e-mail about 40 minutes ago, pretty bummed, had been feeling good about the interview. Oh well, drinking a Mt. Dew to recover.
