In via email!
Went complete on 11/1, interviewed on 10/4. My status checker did not change before the email (at least not within an hour of getting it).

For those doing an off-campus, non-event interview, how long after you guys filled out the interview information were you contacted by an interviewer? I submitted it a week ago and still waiting.

It may be that response time is dependent on location and the availability for them to assign an alumni to interview. I live in DC and I was assigned an interviewer the same day I requested. I assumed it was because there are a plethora of Vandy alumni in DC. That said, I would call if it's been over a week.peege wrote:I submitted last week and still haven't heard back either.mwells56 wrote:For those doing an off-campus, non-event interview, how long after you guys filled out the interview information were you contacted by an interviewer? Applied and interviewed on 11/17. Super relaxed and informal interview. Even more interested in Vandy than I was before the interview. My interviewer graduated this year so her experiences and opinions were especially helpful.

Pretty sure I saw a stack of Fedex boxes (The infamous Vanderbilt Acceptance Black Box) on the front desk ready to be shipped out yesterday. For those of you recently admitted, expect a Thanksgiving gift from Nashville!!
Good luck to the rest of y'all!

Vanderbilt's black box definitely far and away wins the most comprehensive admission package award so far. Very impressive/informative.

I have my interview today at a starbucks.
Is it ok to wear a button up shirt under a nice cardigan and jeans with clark boots?

If Vanderbilt's community is anything like my interviewer, I would definitely go to Vanderbilt.

Re: Vanderbilt Law School c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I feel a bit ghosted from Vandy... I did my interview over a month ago and the interviewer seemed really happy with it, and he said a couple of things that seemed referred to a very probable admission. And yet I heard nothing. I am sure that my application doesn't present huge issue considering my cycle so far, so I don't really know what to think about it.

My status checker isn't loading! Anyone else have this problem?

Us interviewers don't see your numbers unless you tell us or indicate somehow on your resume (summa cum laude would be the only real indication because cum laude and magna vary from school to school in terms of correlation to GPA), so we usually have no way of predicting whether you'll be admitted. Your numbers will matter much, much more than anything nice we have to say about you.InterLaw wrote:I feel a bit ghosted from Vandy... I wouldn't be too concerned about the timing. If you're a strong admit I would expect them to move on you before Christmas, though (assuming you went complete in September/October).

I'm not sure I got your point... I was interviewed by an admission officer (the deputy dean if I'm correct). Didn't he know my numbers? I thought he looked at my LSAC report actually.arklaw13 wrote:Us interviewers don't see your numbers unless you tell us or indicate somehow on your resume (summa cum laude would be the only real indication because cum laude and magna vary from school to school in terms of correlation to GPA), so we usually have no way of predicting whether you'll be admitted. He surely knew my graduation mark cause it's on my CV but being international that is not very useful. However, I already have at least a couple of better options than Vandy so I'm not like anxious. It seemed just strange

Oops. I was assuming you had an alumni interview. Totally different situation. No idea how that goes.InterLaw wrote:I'm not sure I got your point...
