Kind of surprised they're placing people on reserve this early. I'd have thought they'd just drag the process out.demos9 wrote:Reserve today as well :/ Disappointed, and a bit surprised but not heartbroken. Would have seriously been stoked to go though at the right price.

Ugh my under review date just got bumped forward but nothing else. I'm median LSAT, between the 25th and 50th %ile GPA with a pretty reasonable answer why. Cornell's one of my top choices. Hopeful!

I went “interview received” yesterday as well. I also submitted 12/27. How long does the process typically take from this point?LSATuration wrote:Went "Interview Received" today--yay for movement! Completed the interview 12/27.

Status checker now says "Ready for review." Does that mean a decision soon?

I've been on ready for review for a decade now, I think all we have to do now is wait for an interview invite tbhChutzpahSaxa15 wrote:Status checker now says "Ready for review." Does that mean a decision soon?

Re: Cornell Applicants Class of 2021 (2017-2018)
This reserve wave is scaring the hell out of me
Getting an interview request doesn’t seem to mean you’re necessarily in good shape. But the thing is why offer interviews and waitlist so many of the interviewees? Especially when an interview is required for admission.
From what I’ve gathered so far in this thread, and past cycle threads, the interview doesn’t seem to be a make it or break it type of thing. But when strong stat interviewees get waitlisted that seems to run contrary to that notion. I wish we had a better idea of how important Nailing the Interview actually is.

Well, put it this way. I've done interviews for Duke, Northwestern, WUSTL, Chicago, Texas, Vandy, UVA (the informal dinner thing) and Cornell.Intro-gamer wrote:This reserve wave is scaring the hell out of me

I am a pretty good interviewer, but if any of them was my weakest it was Cornell. So far, all of the others have gone well for me or I at least haven't heard bad news yet. The interview was the only point of differentiation for these and my stats should have been competitive at Cornell so the interview is really all I could think to place it. (I actually had a really good justification for Why Cornell too IMO).
So I would definitely advise anyone to really make sure to kill it for the interview. Seems to have been the thing that derailed me :/

I think getting an interview request is a good sign since you have to do one in order to be accepted. Beyond that though, idk. Cornell's strategy is hard to figure out this year.Intro-gamer wrote:This reserve wave is scaring the hell out of me

How long after submitting the form have you all been getting your scholarship offers?

See I definitely get it for you because you feel strongly that it was your interview that was the weak point, and that arguably could mean that the interview bears more weight than a formality. But there are other applicants in this thread who have good stats felt they bombed the interview and still got in (I suppose there might be a disconnect between how well people think they interviewed vs how well they actually interviewed from the adcomms perspective?)demos9 wrote:Well, put it this way. But anyways this is just me agonizing while waiting for a decision (and bracing myself for a ding )
(I’m happy to hear you have other great options on the table !!!)

Has anyone gotten in yet below both medians? I'm just below both LSAT/GPA and interviewed in mid-December but haven't heard back yet.

Woah, your numbers are awesome! Best of luck this cycle! I submitted early this year and receive an interview request today, too. Super excited. If I get in and get a scholarship I would absolutely love to enroll.starxched wrote:

Thank you! I submitted late to a lot of schools so I'm concerned about that, but I'm still hoping for the best.dietcoked wrote:Oh man you’re gonna kill the game!! Anyone willing to share how long it took from “interview received” to decision status?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
