So sorry to hear about all these dings :/ Also, I know this isn't a tech support thread, but did anyone else have a problem getting Kira to work with your microphone? My mic is definitely on and I went to my school's help desk, but Kira keeps saying "We couldn't detect any audio"

Could any shoot me any personal experiences with the interview on how to prepare and what to expect, or direct me to where I can find something?

The interview is really simple and there's nothing that should throw you off course - except for the first question! The interviewer doesn't tell you to state your name before you answer, but if you read the question underneath the video, it says to state your name before you answer.playmaker093 wrote:Could any shoot me any personal experiences with the interview on how to prepare and what to expect, or direct me to where I can find something?

Re: Cornell Applicants Class of 2021 (2017-2018)
I talked in circles, didn't look at the camera more than twice during the entire process, stated my name before *every* (rather than just the first) question, then promptly got confused (aloud) on whether or not I was supposed to do that, and despite all of that I was still admitted. A few of the practice questions were a bit out of the ordinary, but the questions on the interview itself were straightforward. So I'd say not to sweat it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯playmaker093 wrote:Could any shoot me any personal experiences with the interview on how to prepare and what to expect, or direct me to where I can find something?

Re: Cornell Applicants Class of 2021 (2017-2018)
I completed my interview yesterday, and I echo what everyone else has said: it was challenging. Without going into too much detail, there are both written and recorded responses, and there are questions about you and questions about more general topics. Honestly, it was kind of fun. My answers definitely weren't perfect, but as long as you can think on your feet and keep composure, you should be fine. Try to be honest with yourself and just go with the first answer that comes into your head. If your answers are contrived, it will show (especially in the recorded questions). There is really no meaningful way to prepare for this interview except drinking some coffee beforehand and getting in the zone. Good luck everyone!

Had my status change to Application is Ready for Review 2 today. Originally 10/20 and now 12/6, but no interview request.
Any insight into what this might mean?

Tbh it could mean anything. They could be reviewing your application again, getting ready to interview you, getting ready to WL you, or dinging you.hotdog96 wrote:Had my status change to Application is Ready for Review 2 today. Originally 10/20 and now 12/6, but no interview request.

Agreed - I'm wondering YP? Sorry man. But maybe this is "but do you REALLY want to come to Cornell?" and if you show them yes, it will just be a small blip in your beautiful relationship. Or maybe the answer is no, and then meh.etramak wrote:Yes but as far as I've heard Cornell is very friendly to waitlisted candidates with the right stats.Jack_Kelly wrote:Reserved :/
