I'm still waiting to hear and I submitted mine last Friday (12/8)
I submitted my interview on 12/5 and still haven't heard back (status changed to interview received on the 12/7).

Do you know if the admissions office is open next week or if they're off for break?

Not unexpected, but somewhat confusing, because in the 2015-2016 cycle (when my LSAT was 2 points lower) I was put on reserve.

It seems like Cornell has some really odd admission practices.
Sorry to here that :/ did you interview by chance this cycle?
Nope. Never got an invite.

I called today and the recording said they’re already on break

I just called the admissions office and spoke with someone. They're still open.

My status changed to "interview received" partly through the day. Here's hoping to hear back before they close!!

Anyone have any information about what LSAT score an AA urm with a ~3.9 GPA would need to have a good shot at Cornell?

It looks on on Mylsn the sample is pretty small over the past few cycles.

No one will really be able to tell you too much more than what Mylsn shows. But you really don't need that great of a score honestly. A 160 lsat at 3.9 +AA got 6 acceptances and 3 waitlisted with no rejections.

Thanks! I figured a 160 would be more or less the score to give a URM with my stats a good shot. Seem to be the magic number across I've grown much more fond of Cornell lately and was just curious. I'm hoping to see what scores AA URMs get accepted with this cycle because i've read LSAT scores are up.

Thanks again

I know of multiple AA males with 3.3/3.4/3.2 gpas who got Cornell with 164-167.
I would bet darn near anything that with a 3.9 and a 160, you have a legit shot. Tho, I'd encourage you to apply ASAP. Or wait a year and apply in September to help your chances.

Awesome data points! Thank you :)

Yeah, I'm not applying until next cycle. I'm definitely aiming for the 170 range but was certainly curious specifically about Cornell.

thanks again, Aaron

Can't seem to find this info, but is merit aid totally unaffected by need based aid? The CSS profile is a pain and I'm wondering if I might hear back about any merit scholarships before I go through with that whole process with the CSS, or if I won't hear anything unless I submit all the info.

I'm pretty sure that last year they required everyone to fill out the forms

So does anyone actually know when they go on break then? I am wondering if I have a shot that they will render a decision before X-Mas. I just submitted my interview today.

Is it weird to use headphone for a mic instead of the built in one in my computer for the interview?

That's exactly what I did, because the audio quality on my headphone mic was much better :)

I just finished my interview and I really messed it up ... I talked in circle and my written answers were all short. ( less than a legit paragraph ) How long did you all write?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
