Did your status checker change?
I checked my status checker this morning and it hadn’t changed. I got a phone call and have not checked my status checker since.

Just completed my interview. Didn't go amazing but it also wasn't a train wreck. Just have to wait and see now

Just got placed on reserve via email, interview received 12/20. Pretty disappointing but not completely unexpected after my interview performance. Good luck to the rest of ya still waiting.
Edit: I have no idea if it was due to the interview, I'm also a splitter.

Has anyone who sent in their required materials within the last few weeks received scholarship information? I can't tell if they're just slow or if I'm not getting any $

Yeah that's the waitlist. Sorry to hear that. I'm sure you'll have your ACTUAL first choice in the bag before you know it!

From Cornell's website (linked in my post above):
If I am on Reserve, when will I receive a decision?
Applicants who wish to stay active and available for further consideration will be re-reviewed again before we make additional offers. The reserve list is not ranked, and will remain active until the end of summer.
How many applicants are placed on the Reserve List and how many are offered admission?
The number of candidates who are placed on the reserve list and are ultimately offered admission varies from year to year. Factors that may affect this are:
The quantity and quality of applications received
The number of applicants who accept our admission offers
The number of applicants who defer to the following year, or who withdraw their seat in the class
We realize that some applicants are not in a position to stay active on reserve, but remaining active for as long as possible increases the likelihood of admission.

I saw that. I was hoping for some uplifting anecdotal from past cycles

Wait, really? I was under the impression that Cornell recruited heavily off of their reserve list?

Though keep in mind that a lot of those people may have withdrawn from the waitlist and decided to attend another school or just not updated their account! There is hope.

I feel like people don’t update their accounts on lsn so I’d take it with a grain of salt. Oh well I’m going to do everything in my power to be accepted.

Me too, so I ran a few more numbers. Of 174 waitlisted people at Northwestern on LSN last year, 7 got in. Of 250+ at Georgetown, 11 got in. Of 170ish at Duke, 15 got in. No one on the waitlist at UVA last year reported getting in. 200+ at Michigan, one reported getting in. So it does look like it's way easier to get in off of the waitlist at Cornell than most other schools.

Had an interview requested two weeks ago but have been traveling in europe. Is it pointless for me to complete it now ? I know they ask for it within 10 days

Can't hurt to do it. I would complete it and then send an email to the admissions office explaining you were travelling overseas.

Bingo, I would say LSN isn't representative of waitlist activity. Most people stop updating after May and many withdraw from waitlists prematurely
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
