Just got the call, I’m in!
Also, he mentioned that they’re closing today and opening back up on January 2nd in case anyone was curious about when they come back from break.

Congrats y'all. Guess I'm waiting till 2018 since I'm still at received. Yeah I'm interviewed received around the same time. One of my written responses ended with "sfsf" and I acted like a crazy person for one of the video questions

Those of you worried about the video interview - very certain I came off as super manic and caffeinated last year when I did mine, I basically talked as much as I could in the time allotted and was uncomfortably enthusiastic about the questions asked. It worked out fine for me. I think they might just like to see you're passionate and understand that the format is awkward.etramak wrote:Yeah I'm interviewed received around the same time. I just got my December score back and it was much better than expected! I'm throwing an application to Cornell but have no clue what to expect. Do they require any interviews? What do I need to expect?

Yes, they do interviews before admitting people. The interviews are on an online platform called Kira and there are prerecorded questions that you respond to on video and a few typed out questions. If they decide to interview you, they'll send you a link inviting you.peege wrote:I just got my December score back and it was much better than expected! First congrats to everyone who was accepted!!! I got an email for an interview; would anyone be kind enough to tell me what types of questions they got?
Thanks!

They ask us not to tell anyone the questions we were asked, but I didn't get any curve balls. Mine were all pretty straightforward. If you go to last year's thread around page 40 there's a long list of questions people have been asked.OrangeMarmalade wrote:Hi all,

Got the Cornell acceptance book today and I’m VERY impressed. They keep moving up on my list with each interaction.

I received the red book in the mail, but is there an acceptance letter they also send? There wasn’t one in the package so I was just curious if Cornell sends that at all or just the email?
