Just submitted my app. I am going to arrange my interview next week. The more I read up on WUSTL, the more I am impressed. As others have said in this thread, it is a great school that definitely seems to be on the way up.

WUSTL's admissions numbers this year are better than Georgetown's
Still a lower GPA, but I don't think there's any argument to be made 167/3.79 is better than 168/3.74.

Got about 5 emails this past week about going to the Chicago LSAC forum and meeting with Wash U. Might actually have to register and go now haha. 5th time is the charm.

Most likely! Is there any information on when that will be next year? I'm out of the country atm and have not found it quickly while searching.

April 5th through the 7th.

Does anybody know when they'll have a web portal for admitted students?

I'm a current 1L and I'd be happy to answer questions you guys have (at least for now while I'm not yet studying for my finals haha). Reply or PM me!

How competitive are the students? Are there spontaneous study groups forming or do most students just sorta do their own thing?

From what I've seen so far, the students are NOT competitive at all, in that we all share notes anytime someone needs them, we send outlines around, etc. Study groups are forming quickly. People say it all the time, but law school (and specifically Wash U Law) is just like high school because you're in the same classes with the same people for every class, and you have lockers next to each other. So you get to know everyone in your section and the people who want to be in study groups find them easily.

How accessible is faculty, generally? Is it easy to schedule appointments to talk with them about the classes or about their research interests?

All of my professors have an open door policy, so they’re pretty much always available to talk and they love talking about their interests. Although there was one student who was told to stop coming to a professor’s office so much haha but I think he was going like every day and with no actual questions.

As a 1L I'm not sure if you can answer this or not, but do you tend to get a national spread of firms at OCI or are they almost all located within the Midwest/New York?

The interview process was so awesome I applied because of it. I didn't know much about their law school until I got the interview invite. The admissions officer was pretty cool and she also sent some pretty useful and tailored information (I'm one of those that have a target area of practice and a plan A and B for how things pan out)! I don't know how much weight I will give to this in the end, but I like when people are good at their jobs - makes me think the organization is well run. I'm certainly hoping I get in!

Do people do Research Assistanships or Supervised Research or something like that? Sorry if this is dumb, I don't know if that is a thing in law school.

Yup, same thoughts here. Very professional, very genuine and really a school I'm considering now.

Is it normal to not get any scholly info with the acceptance? Or should I read into it that I just bombed the September test and my LSAT email is about to kill me?

I'm in with $$ but not a full ride. Not the worst outcome but probably can't justify moving there unless I have no other options.

I got my scholarship email exactly a week after I was accepted.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
