Was anyone else asked by HLS Admissions for an updated resume after receiving a JS1? Not really sure why they are asking for one given that I applied only a few weeks ago.

I would give an arm and a leg to receive anything from HLS Admissions at this point. Sounds like a good sign.personpitch wrote:Was anyone else asked by HLS Admissions for an updated resume after receiving a JS1? Not really sure why they are asking for one given that I applied only a few weeks ago.

I did! I am a KJD who graduated a semester early. They asked me about my plans for spring and summer along with a resume update.personpitch wrote:Was anyone else asked by HLS Admissions for an updated resume after receiving a JS1? They probably want some clarification on the resume.
I think it's a good sign! that they are seriously considering you. I received JS2 yesterday.

Lol true. I suppose I'm concerned this was a unique email sent because of some dissatisfaction with the resume I included in my application, and they are expecting me to have something new to add to my resume before my interview. (And since I submitted my application around Jan. 1, I'm not really sure what they are expecting in the three weeks since then.)TheKingLives wrote:I would give an arm and a leg to receive anything from HLS Admissions at this point. Thanks! I hope they aren't disappointed that I presently have nothing to addstaggeringelephant wrote: I did! I am a KJD who graduated a semester early. They asked me about my plans for spring and semester along with a resume update.

I got an email asking for an updated resume as well, but haven't received a js1. Unfortunately I didn't have much to add ... also hoping they aren't disappointed. I'm so desperate for that js1! I think it's a good sign for you, not too sure about my case though..personpitch wrote:Lol true. If I had my interview on 12/20 and wasn't in this round of JS2s, is it safe to assume I'm either rejected or waitlisted? Should I still have hope or should I just give up? For context, I have a 180 LSAT and a 4.0 GPA, but my softs are average at best and poor at worst (straight out of undergrad, almost no work experience).

As has been said previously but merits repeating, it is safe to assume that you have been waitlisted or rejected when you receive an email from Harvard Law School indicating that you have been waitlisted or rejected.Smarieh115 wrote:If I had my interview on 12/20 and wasn't in this round of JS2s, is it safe to assume I'm either rejected or waitlisted? If anything, the fact that you got passed up on a wave should reassure everyone who has the same, but perhaps slightly more warranted anxiety that you do.Smarieh115 wrote:I have a 180 LSAT and a 4.0 GPA

Would anyone recommend updating my resume? I've gotten a full time job as a clerk of sorts (nothing related to legal work) at a logistics company, and I just don't know if it's even worth submitting. It may look better than what they think I'm doing now though (which is lying around at home looking at app results)

Do you think I should do this for schools I've already been accepted into?etramak wrote:This gets a resounding "yes, of course you should" from me.feralflamingo wrote:Would anyone recommend updating my resume? I can't say I know the answer to this, I don't see why it would hurt. For schools where your app is still pending though I think it would be extremely important to tell them about any work experience, no matter how relevant or impressive (I am not commenting on your position) it might be, especially if they think you currently aren't working.feralflamingo wrote:Do you think I should do this for schools I've already been accepted into?etramak wrote:This gets a resounding "yes, of course you should" from me.feralflamingo wrote:Would anyone recommend updating my resume? Hi everyone! Congrats to all JS2s!! I recently received my JS1 and was hoping anyone who already had their JS1/already been admitted could share some pointers on how to prepare/what type of questions were asked? You can PM me! Thanks so much.
(also sorry in advance if this has already been answered in the thread)

It used to just have a section that said "Received Application" with a green checkmark and date. Then another line popped up above that with a red X that said "Awaiting GRE"appind wrote:status checker has a GRE field? or are you already accepted?nina2018 wrote:I applied to their JD-MPH program so I'm assuming it was through some communication with Chan (who did get my score report) but it's also entirely possible that I indicated it somewhere on the application and totally forgot bc I have the memory of a goldfish.admitmeee wrote:thepsychedelic wrote:i believe harvard wants all scores, so you’d have to send your GRE score if you have onenina2018 wrote:congrats to everyone who was accepted this week!
my status checker just updated with "GRE" and a big red X...I took both the GRE & LSAT but tbh don't remember if I told them I planned to send my GRE score.
any pointers?
How did they know that you took the GRE when you only reported LSAT?

don't see any gre line in the status checker.
do those with or done js1 see only "complete application" or some other status?
