Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Wow wtf. I haven't told anyone at my firm that I'm applying (it's looked down upon to leave without putting in at least a few years of work). I would be pretty angry if HLS outed me like that.
Also, can someone answer the poster above who asked about JS1 questions? I have mine coming up and would love guidance!

Just went complete today (Nov 17) after submitting on Nov 13.
What is the shortest wait that anyone has had between complete and JS1? Just curious as to how long I can postpone this anxiety.

Seconding this. You would assume that if they were going to conduct background checks that they'd have the courtesy to contact prior, not current employers - I wouldn't want a prospective employer of mine to contact a current one.mrsharveyspecter wrote:Wow wtf. Checking in with that sweet sweet JS1! LSAT > 75, GPA < 25. Non-URM, but other diverse factors. Complete since 10/23. Honestly shocked I got one this early -- I've been expecting lots of late winter / spring responses since I'm splitting the 25 and 75 at a lot of schools, so I'm seriously pumped right now!

Does it matter when you get your JS1? Or is there any reason behind when?

Was good- short, about 15 minutes. The adcomm was very nice. I don't think I clicked with them as well as I wanted to but by no means was it bad. They asked a few interesting questions I'd never seen people mention before so that was different. Overall I came away feeling like it didn't change much for my application but I didn't hurt myself.AaronCarter wrote:rideagain wrote:Congrats all JS1's! Checking in on the JS1 train, which was a true surprise as a no-GPA international

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
Had my JS1 recently. I thought it went decently well, as others have said it was really short so we didn't spend too much time on any particular question but I enjoyed the questions I was asked. I'm sure there were answers I could've phrased differently/expanded on a little more, but I come away from basically every interview feeling that way. Interviewer was very nice! I feel like it probably won't change their decision about me one way or another, but I guess we'll see. Interviewer told me to be patient and didn't give me a timeline for when decisions will start coming out. Hopefully sooner rather than later!

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
The older forums said that if you receive a JS1 in October-November, your chance of getting admitted is actually closer to 90%, as opposed to 75% (my god i wish!!!). Can anyone confirm or deny this?
And if we have an early jS1, does that mean we'll most likely get admitted in December?

Any splitters get interviews yet? At 75th for GPA but just over 25th for LSAT, and still kind of hoping I'll get an email one of these days? Maybe?
