Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
+1. I'm sure there's a slight bump in high stats + high quality apps, but 1) the number of people with really great LSAT/GRE + GPA combos can't be TOO high in the first place so any increase this year would not completely shut out people who are generally strong candidates and 2) with the interview and the essays, people really have a chance to shine beyond or in addition to their numbers! If you're here on TLS I'm betting you guys have polished every aspect of your app that you could possibly control (LSAT/GRE included) and have a great chance for success. Also, an HLS acceptance doesn't determine your self worth nor will your long term success hinge upon it. It's all about the attitude and work ethic, and I'm sure you guys will do great things in your future, HLS or not.JamesBlahDeBlah wrote:More does not necessarily mean betteretramak wrote:The 'top law schools receiving even more apps than previously thought' bitfohner wrote:How so? If that is the case, I would guess that 1/22 is for people who interviewed in Dec and 1/29 for people who interviewed early Jan.RamenEgg wrote:Two days of calls?blakebortles wrote:Both 22th and 29th are blank.thepsychedelic wrote:yeah last JS2 had a week before it with no JS1s and was on the monday, which was also left blank. thinking that the next round of JS2s will be this mondayTomLawSchool wrote:Last JS2 was Monday as I remember. Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
I don't think it'll be that straight: a ton of much earlier JS1s (who interviewed early November, even) still haven't heard, so it likely won't be as clear-cut. Very few people were accepted (at least based on TLS, LSN, and Facebook) in that first JS2 wave.blakebortles wrote:If that is the case, I would guess that 1/22 is for people who interviewed in Dec and 1/29 for people who interviewed early Jan.RamenEgg wrote:Two days of calls?blakebortles wrote:Both 22th and 29th are blank.thepsychedelic wrote:yeah last JS2 had a week before it with no JS1s and was on the monday, which was also left blank. thinking that the next round of JS2s will be this mondayTomLawSchool wrote:Last JS2 was Monday as I remember. I’m below both 25ths and URM. Had my JS1 in November

Guys. I had THREE missed calls from random 617 numbers today. Three. Obviously, none were from HLS. So stressful!

Do we think people who interviewed in the first week of January could be in this next wave? Is the turnaround that fast?
