They asked me questions about my app, and the final question was essentially a "Why Harvard."calicolombia wrote:Was it mostly general questions or any specific to your application?albinododobird wrote:Just had my JS1 interview! Very excited!

Because killing a JS1 feels great no matter who you are. It’s also comforting to those who haven’t interviewed yet that one can kill a JS1.veteranslaw wrote:weren't you were accepted to yale....whats the point of bragging on this thread..?KENYADIGG1T wrote:TLS I would like to report a crime...

total noob here. how long does it typically take to go from received to complete? and once you're complete, how long does it take to (hopefully) get a JS1 invite?

Thanks to the others who spoke in my defense, but I didn't see it as bragging. I was just sharing positivity man; it is not that deep I assure you.veteranslaw wrote:weren't you were accepted to yale....whats the point of bragging on this thread..?KENYADIGG1T wrote:TLS I would like to report a crime...

Mostly open-ended, general questions.calicolombia wrote:Was it mostly general questions or any specific to your application?albinododobird wrote:Just had my JS1 interview! Very excited!
Why Law? Why now?
What do you see yourself doing after law school?
Give an example of a time you've received feedback and how you responded.
What's something you think jumps out to the admissions team about your application?
What's something that might not jump out about your application that you want us to know?
If you were on our admissions team, what would you look for in an applicant?
And of course, they ask if you have questions.

Just had my JS1 today as well; they were actually all specific questions about my resume/things I wrote, but asked in a way that was fairly open-ended. It might be because a lot of the "why law school" questions were directly addressed in my PS/DS. Good luck to everyone else!

Thanks! Out of curiosity, would you seriously consider attending Harvard, or are you pretty much set on Yale?KENYADIGG1T wrote: I'm very excited for you! I'm sure you did well during the interview, and I would totes admit you

Have my JS1 tomorrow, quick question - what does "accept our contact request" in Zoom refer to? I logged into the downloaded Zoom client on my computer and into the online version and I can't seem to find any notifications or messages from HLS.

Seems that some of the interviewers send out the contact request pretty close to the interview time, but it should show up on your Zoom client dashboard.dm1683 wrote:Have my JS1 tomorrow, quick question - what does "accept our contact request" in Zoom refer to? Things are still pointing heavily Yale, but I want to visit as many ASWs as practically possible before I commit. I'll be really stoked with a H JS2.albinododobird wrote:Thanks! On wave day do acceptances roll throughout the day or does everyone get the email at around the same time?

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017-2018)
It looks like, based on past years, though, the mid-January wave either lasts a few hours or is split into two days. I'm not totally sure that that'll be the case, but it does make sense given the volume of students one person has to reach out to.rideagain wrote:It's a phone call.
