Does anyone have an idea of the scope/size of this wave, relative to future ones?

Congrats to all the other admits and prayers and good thoughts to everyone still waiting. Hang in there. Y’all are amazing.

AGREED. luckily I got into Stanford and another school super early in the cycle so I'm just chillin, but I def feel for all yall out there waiting14141453 wrote:Gotta say I think the application window should be shorter to allow for faster turnaround. Applying on the very first day and not hearing back for 6+ months creates huge amounts of unnecessarily protracted stress; the fact alone that some people are forced to wait and hope for over half a year only to be let down should be enough motivation to change the system. Also, since information is inevitably going to get out there about other people getting in significantly earlier than others, the huge window creates a dynamic where some students who are ultimately accepted head to school in August knowing they barely made the cut and were considered less qualified than the majority of their new peers, which I can definitely see leading to self-doubt about belonging. KJD applicants don't even have their grades until December. Apps don't need to open in September if they don't close until February. Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see why the window for submitting apps should be any larger than six weeks or so, or why anybody should have to wait longer than 2-3 months for a decision

keep telling myself that there’s still a chance next month even if i missed this wave with an early dec JS1, but it just feels so unlikely

01/11 JS1 and right there with you. Really though, there was very little chance we’d be considered for this round.dm1683 wrote:Soooo dejected right now. Telling myself it was because of the late interview (1/10) but who am i kidding, this cycle is just eating me alive.

Same. 1/9 JS1. I was pretty sure I wouldn't hear this wave, but still somewhat disappointed since so far I've only gotten a decision from one school that I'm not too excited about.spectacles wrote:01/11 JS1 and right there with you. I interviewed early December, 3.95 GPA, near perfect GRE score, 5 years as a Naval Officer, and still no response. I'm dying lol. I'm really hoping they are backloading waves this year since they are supposedly getting a lot of applicants.albinododobird wrote:Same. 1/9 JS1. +2 FWIW, they're not even 2/3 of the way through the JS1 waves (if this year parallels last year). I'm adjusting expectations too (sitting over here with my 171), but I don't think any of us need to give up just yet!2021hopeful wrote:Right there with ya friend. 2/3 isn't that far, true. After that uchi waitlist though expectations are low. If I get a JS1 at this point I'd die

Don't let them steal that furry blue spirit! You'll probably wind up in at both HLS AND Chicago.maybeman wrote:Already calling the account name 2022hopeful, cya thereBush v. I'm flattered, but keep your head up maybeman! I'm with you on that Uchi wailist too (and based on your numbers, I'm farther down than you). It's never too late. And worst case scenario...DING BAR CRAWL!Bush v. Gorgeous wrote:Don't let them steal that furry blue spirit!
