Who is the gentleman in your avatar? I'm always curious to learn who these pensive intellectuals are.

I applied for that program! I have yet to hear back though and it seems that things might be moving slower for me because of it... I don't know, I'm starting to get so antsy :( but yeah, I'm with you on the degree train, getting both a JD and an LLM in 3 years would be perfect for me

Does anyone else have "processing incomplete file" as their status?
Applied on 12/20, application was received 12/21 and no updates since then. But my file *should* be Complete on my end...
The top of my page says "Your status will be updated the next business day once we process the required material." But I'm asssuming I just caught the weird time right before they left for Christmas?

The same thing happened to me. I applied in on the same date as you did. I think it's because this was right around the time they went on the holidays. Did you take the Dec 2017 LSAT? If so, it could be that the score went to the school when the offices were closed. Have you tried giving the admissions office a call?

No, just September score. I haven't called since I thought they are out of office anyway. Does anyone know when most adcoms come back? After New Year's Day?

Does anything in your file indicate the need for adeans certificate (ie c&f regarding a school)? And if so, has that been sent directly from the undergrad institution to Duke? That caused me to get that notation on the status checker

Late on 12/11 I think; it was right after the 10 day cutoff for Christmas break.

Does Duke really average LSAT scores or do they take the highest? The website indicates that they average multiple LSAT scores, but we know the highest score is reported to US News World and Report.

I would say they just take the highest. I feel like most schools that claim that they average scores are BSing. They'd be at such a disadvantage if they did while their peer schools don't do it.

I was admitted with a really awful first score so I doubt it, but I would definitely include an addendum to explain the difference in scores. I wouldn't sweat it though!

My application as been complete since December 1st. Since then, there has been zero movement: no under review updates, no date changes, nothing. Is this a problem? Should I contact them to see what's going on?

No, it's very normal and there's no need to be concerned! Just be patient :)

Yeah I wouldn't contact them if you're complete, especially at this point in the cycle when they are super backed-up. I went complete 11/13 and didn't move to "Under Review" until 12/20. And the wait continues!

Congrats to everyone also in and good luck to those still waiting.

Don't have an answer for you, but I submitted same day (maybe 12/12? it was around midnight). Just went UR2 so my hopes are officially up.
Keep your hopes up; I was just admitted! PT applications submitted 2 weeks before Christmas can apparently still get <10-day decisions.

Applied 12/11, UR1 12/12, UR2 12/15, accepted 12/20
did you write a 'why duke?'
