Congrats to you both. Still waiting on my transcript to be evaluated. Been waiting ages. How long did it take for yours? How long was the time between when they emailed you to tell you they had received it to when the evaluation was complete?

Thank you! It took about 12 days for them to process my transcripts.

Thanks! Good to know. Been about 9 days since they 'received' it even though it got sent it in three weeks ago! Driving me crazy as its the only thing I'm waiting for. Before that, I'd been been asking my university to send in the transcript for 4 weeks in order to prevent this from happening.

I don't want to scare you but it took like 20-25ish days for me!

Was that from when you sent it in or from when they received it? I sent it in 3 weeks ago. They told me they received it, i.e. processed it somewhat pre-evaluation two weeks after that.

Oh no! I'll be seriously annoyed if its not sorted by this time next week. My transcript is a relatively typical British undergraduate transcript so I wonder if yours took longer because its a less common or more difficult transcript to evaluate. Give me some hope to cling to!

Mine was done in under two weeks as well, and it's from a small non-English speaking country.

In my opinion, my transcriptS were among the hardest they received this year to evaluate. So yeah, you have some hope!

Sorry for the potentially dumb question, but what constitutes an "international student" for the purposes of this thread? For example, I am on an H-1B visa rn but went to undergrad in the U.S. thus have a reportable GPA. Am I an international student as defined by this thread?

The question is not dumb and you are absolutely welcome here! However, your cycle will be much more predictable and closer to that of non-internationals than ours. In your case being international is a good diversity factor, and I think it could really help in some school!

Has this affected the schools you're applying to? As in, if they don't consider you worthy for a fee waiver, they won't give much consideration to your app? Do you see it as a good indicator of how they'll value your lack of GPA?

From what I've read here on TLS, fee waivers don't seem to indicate much, so I wouldn't worry about it too much! Always worth asking for waivers, though.

Yeah, in the t14/13 at least the fee waivers don't tell you much about how you'll be treated by the school!

My stats are 168, Superior, and average soft w/ no W, national It really sucks being an international since I have an almost-perfect GPA in a good undergraduate in Asia..So at this point it's really the LSAT that talks right?

I took three LSAT and I took the first LSAT w/o much prep ( about three weeks) and got a 167. I studied for full time about 7 months and my PT scores ranged for mid 170s but I maxed out at 168. I really want to get into any T 13 schools( especially Michigan, Northwestern and Berkeley.) Do I have any shot at these schools if I apply early? or should I take the Dec test and apply in January? It would be really agonizing to wait another year for the next cycle

So my suggestion here is to apply now and ask them to hold the app until dec scores release. Put a lot of effort on that and take it as your #1 priority. If you score a 170+ then an admission in at least some t13 is very likely, according to past years spreadsheet. A 168 is not awful, but it's more likely to grant you a couple of good t20 (WUSTL/Vandy/USC) than t13!

If you're self-financing, you should absolutely be focused on a retake. Even if you get admitted to one of your target schools, it's not likely to be accompanied by $$$. Even if you need to wait a cycle, it could be worth six figures in reduced costs.

Cheers my man! Submitted both 9/21, complete 9/29 (CAS report was missing), admitted 11/3 and 10/31, respectively.

I'm complete at UCLA since 9/26 but still nothing, it starts scaring me... Almost everyone had a fast turnaround!
Cornell was about a week ago, so it's still early!

Both with $ would be great options for me!
