I don't know whether they interview all candidates, but they certainly seem to interview for that purpose. Given my stats, tone of the interview, and that the interviewer mentioned merit scholarships several times unprompted, I'm pretty sure my interview couldn't have been for any other purpose.

Edit: (meant to add) and it would be very weird for them to do interviews for some but not others when talking about such a huge sum of money and such a small # of scholarships.
They mentioned merit scholarships unprompted in your interview? That sounds super weird/unprofessional to me. (Also interviewed (in November) and that did not come up. (I'm above both 75ths)

I'm an LSAC fee waiver candidate from a low SE status background, and given some of the other topics in the interview It made sense/didn't seem unprofessional at all. By "unprompted" I mean it flowed out of the conversation rather than out of me saying "what's up with your financial aid" or something along those lines.

Sorry, see my edit above, I didn't finish my thought -- I think it would be very odd of them to interview only some of the candidates, presumably for that quantity of money it's a pretty essential screen. But I doubt anybody knows for sure unless there's a former Columbia admissions person who works at Spivey or something like that.
In the CLS 2020 thread, someone reported a friend having gotten a Hamilton without an interview. I think someone earlier in this thread cited to that same anecdote. Seems to be uncommon, but possible.

Should we expect all emails to come out at once or will they come in waves?

Being a little neurotic but would yall mind sharing timestamps?? I remember reading last year's threads that the emails didn't get sent all at once but want to see if that still holds true

Based on last year's thread, it looks like the first wave of folks didn't include scholarship info, then the next two waves (which were the following days I believe, but not sure how that'll shape up with the delay this year) included scholarships.

Congrats to everyone who caught this wave! Maybe now that they've got some earlier applicants out of the way, they can get started looking at the post-December LSAT folks.
