I believe you can get unnamed merit aid, but it'd be worth less than a Butler.

So you can get full tuition, half tuition, or somewhere between half and zero

Got the Butler. Honestly I don't want to sound unappreciative but I'm 175+ and just barely under 3.8, with prestigious softs, and I feel like if my GPA was literally .02 higher I might've gotten the Hamilton. It's now 135k at Michigan versus Butler at Columbia versus no scholarship at Harvard and I'm undecided...

My stats are the same and I didn't get anything. Really disappointed.

My paranoia might be unwarranted but I just don't have enough information to make myself feel better about what's going on.

Is it too early in the acceptances cycle to give up hope? In previous cycles, did people above both 75's who went complete before December continue to get accepted well past January?
If you look at LSN there's only 4 people who are above both 75ths that have gotten an answer yet. They all had 176's. 3 got Hamiltons. Idk whats up with #4, might just not put scholly info in their profile. No one above a 176 and 3.8+ has heard back yet.

tl;dr they seem to be doing some weird thing with high stat applicants.

FWIW, I'm above 176 and above 3.9 and I heard back on Friday

Praying they're just backed up by the huge number of applications this year and wanna figure out their non shoe-in's first.

If Yield Protection is the suspicion, would it be be beneficial in the slightest to send in a "Why Columbia"? I've heard it's basically a waste to do it for HYS, but does the same apply for CCN?

How long (at least last year) was Columbia sending out acceptance waves for/when is it too late (like when you hear it’s going to be waitlist or rejected?)

Still nothing. My interviewer did say I'd hear by late January. Maybe they meant it very literally haha

Do almost all of the applicants receive decisions until late April just as the school said?
