Have any of y'all done the financial aid application yet? I'm a little unsure about how to "assess my position for merit aid" without coming off as an ass. Any guidance?

I did it last week. I'd just speak honestly about the things you bring to the table using references from the site - e.g. they value students with interesting work experience so you can talk about how you would bring interesting perspectives to the student body via your work in xyz. Talk about interesting academic projects you've done - things more in depth. They say specifically not to talk about gpa/lsat so I think just think of things that are unique / were challenging about your academic or work history and mention them. It's always going to be self-promotion for everyone so no worries.

I've really been putting this off. I've gotten all the financial info submitted but just can't seem to bring myself to write another essay about myself at the moment lol

Does application complete mean I’ll hear anything soon? I submitted app around 11/8 and did interview within a week. Status website just says application complete and I’m so confused. I don’t check this one everyday but I feel like this is weird.

My understanding is this means you are under review!

Edit: You should see a message at the top of your status checker above the demographics block that says something along the lines of "Your application is now complete and is being reviewed"

Does anyone know when your status checker is supposed to "reset" for ED applicants who were held. Mine has been stuck on DLA since 12/13.

Looked through last years page and it didn't say, but looks like the RD waves post-holiday were as follows. Most ED holds who were admitted didn't hear until the second post-holiday wave

2013-2014 cycle: first post-holiday decision waves were 1/15 and 1/22
2014-2015 cycle: first post-holiday decision waves were 1/6 and 1/14
2015-2016 cycle: first post-holiday decision waves were 1/13 and 1/19
2016-2017 cycle: first post-holiday decision waves were 1/19 and 1/31

still says no decision letter yet, but fingers crossed. i submitted early nov and interviewed mid november!

I'm in!!! Anybody know the usual turnaround for scholarship info? If their offer is competitive they'll probably be my top choice!

It took a month for me to go complete after my interview. They have a backlog at this point.
