Just had an alumni interview, after receiving the email for it on Wednesday. My interviewer was AWESOME and made me really cross my fingers that I get in!

Do we know if there's any logic to who gets an alumni interview and who gets a group interview?Teacher wrote:Just had an alumni interview, after receiving the email for it on Wednesday. My interviewer was AWESOME and made me really cross my fingers that I get in!

I was "held" today, but I never got an interview. Is that weird?

I would love to know this too -- I got an alumni interview and am a little jealous of those who got to interview with the Dean.ChutzpahSaxa15 wrote:Do we know if there's any logic to who gets an alumni interview and who gets a group interview?Teacher wrote:Just had an alumni interview, after receiving the email for it on Wednesday. I asked Spivey about holds and he said a good chunk of us will get in, so don't fret!ctvinson wrote:The intel I have gathered this info from just combing through forums on this site I thought the LSAT should be on the auto-admit side... I guess not.monsterc_ wrote:Is the held --> WL info based on previous cycles? I havent combed through old data yetctvinson wrote:Hey ya'll I am super confused about this hold status; :/
Got the hold email today but my stats are minor splitter: 3.4 GPA, 176 LSAT. Anyone have any intel on what to expect??
Seems like the hold list usually gets WL but my LSAT is 9 above median so I am pretty lost.
Note: This was second LSAT, first was 164.
Note: GPA tanked sophomore year, rose enormously last two years

Can you link where you asked about holds, or be more specific regarding what was told to you?heyduchess wrote:I asked Spivey about holds and he said a good chunk of us will get in, so don't fret!ctvinson wrote:The intel I have gathered this info from just combing through forums on this site I thought the LSAT should be on the auto-admit side... Had the group interview today. The Dean was amazing. When we left he told the group (12 people), that all of our decisions were already made and this was just a last step in the process. He asked that we give him about 2 weeks in order to have official decisions sent out.

Kind of odd that they'd have you interview if the decision was already made, no? When I did it he said that all of our files were on his desk and he was gonna go down immediately after hahaphillyboy23 wrote:Had the group interview today. The Dean was amazing. He didn’t write a single thing down. Didn’t know how to take the comment. One good thing is that the wait is over within two weeks. This past Wednesday! Hoping the two week time frame proves true. But I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed the interview format - it was a nice experience.phillyboy23 wrote:He didn’t write a single thing down. Didn’t know how to take the comment. Has anyone's alumni interviewer taken a *really* long time to get in touch with them? Approaching two weeks post-sign up and nada.

Would you go to Georgetown at sticker?
I am not wealthy or anything but is the school worth sticker?

+1. In my opinion, outside of YSH, no school is truly worth sticker if you have to finance it with loans. For example, if someone gets into CCN at sticker, they’ll probably have substantial $$$ from lower t13 which is just a smarter investment. However, how much debt you’re willingly to incur is a personal preference.TLS wrote:Nourmlaw17 wrote:Would you go to Georgetown at sticker?

Checking in!
Georgetown is a dream school for me, especially their Global Scholars program. Due to some issues, I was not able to send my application until late December. My status checker shows application completed but there has been no movement in a couple of weeks and there is no status date showing. I want it to go UR so bad!
