Assuming it's bad news that I went complete in October and haven't interviewed yet cuz I couldn't go to the group one I got invited to?

I was asked to group interview in late September. I signed up but my session got canceled. I didn't hear anything from them until last week when I got an alumni interview request. I wouldn't be worried about it if I were you. Maybe just email them and let them know you were interested in attending but couldn't make it to the session you were invited to.gab wrote:Assuming it's bad news that I went complete in October and haven't interviewed yet cuz I couldn't go to the group one I got invited to?

I'm hoping not because I'm in the same position.RobinLeHood13 wrote:Is it safe to say if you interviews the last week of October and haven’t heard back that you’re probably not getting in?

Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
Just finished my alum interview on Skype. Felt like it went pretty well. About 30 min.
Questions included:
Specific questions from resume
Why law?
Why Georgetown?
If you could change anything from college/post-college what would it be?
What qualities make a good lawyer?
What is the greatest challenge facing our country? (or something like that, can't recall exact wording)
I've been out of college for a while so one of the questions asked why the gap.
Was there one thing that influenced your decision to become a lawyer?
If you couldn't become a lawyer, what would you do?
A few more but that's all I can recall.

For people that have done group interviews, have most men worn suits?

Most guys did, I personally wore a sweater over a dress shirt with a tie and khakis and didn't feel out of place at all.Bojack93 wrote:For people that have done group interviews, have most men worn suits?
It's a pretty relaxed atmosphere, it's more about how you act during the team activities than appearing 100% professional.

Jesus Christ, I still have not been interviewed after being asked to two weeks ago. Unsure how to go about changing that without looking bad one way or another, every route seems to have the potential to be harmful.

Also getting frustrated with how long this process is taking. I think if my alumni interview goes past two weeks I'm going to email admissions and ask that they make a decision without an interview.Jack_Kelly wrote:Jesus Christ, I still have not been interviewed after being asked to two weeks ago. Did you get an email from Georgetown asking if you have been contacted by your interviewer? They sent me one about a week after the initial invitation. I said no, they assigned me to a new interviewer, I hear from her the next day.
I don't think there's anything wrong with sending them an email just saying that you haven't heard anything from your interviewer and asking how you should proceed.

Did anyone reply to Dean Cornblatt's post-interview thank you email? I was considering it, but I don't want to jam up his inbox

GROUP INTERVIEW!
TALK TO ME. What can I expect? Should we come up with a TLS hand signal so we can identify one another at these interviews?

Got my acceptance letter today, dated 11/21. I submitted mid October and interviewed early November, so don't lose hope if you're in a similar situation!
