Got my letter! No interview. The letter had a very kind handwritten note from dean cornblatt. Georgetown is one of my top choices so very excited!

Also, when was the letter dated/postmarked, if you don’t mind me asking!usaorbust wrote:Congrats! Complete date?undercover_bark wrote:Got my letter! No interview. The letter had a very kind handwritten note from dean cornblatt. Georgetown is one of my top choices so very excited!

Congrats!! Also also (lol), was it just a letter in an envelope? Or was it more like shipped in a thin, cardboard envelope? Sounds like a stupid question, but I'm K-JD and my college will notify me if it's in the cardboard but will make me just guess and come check if it's in just a regular envelope...aheimz wrote:Also, when was the letter dated/postmarked, if you don’t mind me asking!usaorbust wrote:Congrats! It's a small envelope made of thick(ish) paper. It's sized like a greeting card, not a standard letter size.

I was in a dorm when I got my acceptance. It went in the mailbox and not package servicesMonicaYoung_LOL wrote:Congrats!! Also also (lol), was it just a letter in an envelope? After how many weeks should I be worried about not hearing back from GTown? I had my group interview before I applied so I'm not to sure how long it will take before I hear something back.

Has anyone been accepted using GRE scores in lieu of LSAT?

In! Got my letter on Friday as well. It comes in a deceivingly small envelop so I was a little concerned at first it was a deny / wait-list.
Handwritten note from the dean & no interview.

Does anyone have any insights on who they pick for interviews and why? I can't see a trend in the numbers at all. Just curious.

I heard it's mostly a lot of potential YP and borderline applicants that get targeted first. After that they just pick people in the georgraphic areas that correspond with where Dean Cornblatt will be.Bush v. Ha - and now I get to speculate whether I'm the YP or the borderline. Thanks!wannabegenius wrote:I heard it's mostly a lot of potential YP and borderline applicants that get targeted first. With your stats I would say 100% the former.Bush v. Gorgeous wrote:Ha - and now I get to speculate whether I'm the YP or the borderline. Thanks for the generous read on the situation! I've been feeling a little frozen out of several schools so I wonder sometimes....not sure if coincidence, age, or something I did wrong on my app.wannabegenius wrote:With your stats I would say 100% the former.Bush v. Checking in, just got “held”. Quick research says this is at least a better scenario than being waitlisted. Anyone have any insight on chances after being held and the timing of the final decision? I applied in September, alumni interview about two weeks ago.

I'm in the same boat. What did they tell you? I think I'm going to follow up with them tomorrow,
