Is it true that all gtown acceptances come by snail mail and all rejections come by email?
What about waitlist and deferrals? Email or mail?

Interviewed on 11/24 and still haven't heard anything ... Any idea what the holdup could be?

A lot of people have been getting their acceptance letter way after their interview because it's sent through snail mail. Could easily be on its way to you.evanrn wrote:Interviewed on 11/24 and still haven't heard anything ... Any idea what the holdup could be?

There is some type of weird internal system at play. Snail mail anywhere on the east coast should be 3 days tops and people are getting them much longer after the letter date.mwells56 wrote:A lot of people have been getting their acceptance letter way after their interview because it's sent through snail mail. Yeah they probably just sit in a bin for a few days before they are mailed out.Bojack93 wrote:There is some type of weird internal system at play. Just got my letter, interviewed at the end of November, letter was dated 12/07 and posted 12/12! I saw some other people from my group interview got their letter a couple days ago so it took me a couple extra days to get my letter

Based on what my interviewer told me and all the dates people have been posting here, I think they make their decisions on Thursdays/Fridays and then mail them out on Mondays/Tuesdays.NavyNuke wrote:Yeah they probably just sit in a bin for a few days before they are mailed out.Bojack93 wrote:There is some type of weird internal system at play. Just had my alumni interview. The guy was really nice and I found gulc more attracting now.
So are all acceptances come by mails? What about international applicants? Do they post international mails or just send emails?

Okay, so. I received an invitation to go to a group interview on 11/11. I RSVP’d immediately to decline BECAUSE I am living in Thailand, far far away from the group interview. I haven’t heard anything since. At the time, I didn’t realize how important the interview was to the school, so I didn’t request an alumni interview. Should I send them an email to do so now? Since I haven’t received word of a waitlist or a ding yet so I feel like this might work in my favor...

I had to decline my first interview mid November due to an exam I had, I got another request out of the blue about a month later. If it's a legitimate excuse, I don't think they'll hold it against you.caffeinatedvirgo wrote:Okay, so. I received an invitation to go to a group interview on 11/11. Interviewed with an alumni in Chicago 11/27, haven’t heard anything. Is this normal or am I most likely dinged?

I’m with ya, also interviewed late November and still waiting. There was a wave of dings/waitlists on Friday and Saturday though, so I think we still have a chance. They could be preparing to send out our letters now.Smicikl2 wrote:Interviewed with an alumni in Chicago 11/27, haven’t heard anything. Is this normal or am I most likely dinged?
Georgetown needs to stop playing with my emotions though

SAME. I interviewed 11/29 in NYC, and still haven't heard a thing. I don't particularly think its a bad thing, but wondering what is taking so long haha

At our interview, he said things could take a little longer with the holidays being around the cornernyc4life wrote:anacabana wrote:I’m with ya, also interviewed late November and still waiting.
