I was planning to apply around Nov-Dec, when my app will be perfect, but I will actually apply as soon as the first one here will post his admission, with an incomplete application, rushing the personal statement and forgetting the addenda I prepared carefully in advance.

Yeah, I requested a password on Thursday or Friday and it worked.

Maybe they misspelled my name? I don't know.

Thanks!

They don't update their status checker at all so it doesn't even matter TBH.

I was "preferred waitlisted" last year, and it became quite clear from those that were admitted late in the cycle that the "preferred" seemed to mean very little. People were taken off both the regular and preferred waitlist with no apparent rationale and in random order. People with your stats (as well as above and below) were pulled off the waitlists.... there is hope, don't read too much into the hierarchy of the waitlist status.

It's been a month since my interview in DC and I haven't heard anything- and others in my group have already received their letters. Should I email admissions to ask if there's a problem?

Thanks!

Interviewed yesterday with Dean Cornblatt and really enjoyed it. =)

Anyone know how long it takes to hear back after the interview? Dean said max is 3 weeks but I wasn't sure how long it actually takes them.

I heard back within a couple of weeks, but as you're seeing from other posts above, it's rolling. It's not like they have an interview, sit down and decide on all 12 people, and send out letters. So could be in a couple of weeks (slower if you're away from DC area) but it could be much longer if they're sitting on your app for a bit longer.

For admits it's snail mail only. Best of luck - I'm sure you'll hear soon!

Actually yesterday I got an email telling me about the open houses and accepted students website so if my letter had gotten lost or something that would've been a pretty good indicator lol

I emailed them last week to ask if they offered travel stipends and they said they did not.

+1 I'd like to know too.
Did some digging and it looks like the deal is they may/may not email you in February to ask how much it'll take to get you there then they'll send out waves in March.

Unrelated, did anybody else get an extra, handwritten note from Dean Cornblatt at the end of their letter? Mine did and he said that my interviewer said great things about me. Made me feel all warm and fuzzy on the inside. :D :D
I got the same message from Dean Cornblatt. That my interviewer said great things about me. I was very happy. I need to email my interviewer and say Thank you.

Finished my alumni interview finally! Was contacted on 12/16 but only got to it today with the holidays and all. Felt really good about my interview and the interviewer was super nice. Had a really good conversation and what I learned about Georgetown definitely makes me want to go here more. Time to check Admitted Students web obsessively to see if I get in!

Has anyone applied ED and gotten deferred?

I'm thinking of sending an LOCI but not really sure if it would help my chances. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

If I went complete mid-December and haven't received an interview request should I be nervous?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
