Took about two weeks from complete to interview request for me (11/29 --> 12/11), but I'm sure they're backed up with the holiday so it'll probably be longer for youwaffle485 wrote:If I went complete mid-December and haven't received an interview request should I be nervous?

after going 'completed', how long did it take some of you to get an interview request?

Hey, just got an odd email asking me to confirm I’ve been put in touch with an alumnus for an interview. This is strange because not only have I already had the interview, I made sure to record that I’d been contacted and the date of our interview in the survey they sent us. Anyone else get an email like this? Or am I just stupid and somehow messed up filling out the surveys?

Waitlisted a month ago and sent a LOCI today... I am not on the preferred waitlist, though, so I am not sure what my chances are of having it read.

Group interview 12/18 and haven't heard. Anyone else? Cornblatt said to expect news in 3-4 weeks. I realize the holidays may have pushed things but getting nervous..

Are you bringing your parents as guests to one of admitted students open houses?

I had my group interview on 12/11 and haven’t heard anything. I emailed admissions and they said my app is “still under review” so I assume they’re just really backed up

Place on preferred wait list. Pretty bummed, but all hope is not lost I guess.

There are people on this board that are super against bringing parents to stuff but I'm going to disagree. I'd say don't bring them into a classroom or anything like that but if they want to come on the tour or sit in on a Q&A with admissions or just look around on their own, shouldn't be a problem.Stardefender1 wrote:Are you bringing your parents as guests to one of admitted students open houses?

I went to one of the open houses with a friend who was admitted last year and there were PLENTY of people who had parents come along. IIRC, there were even a set of separate panels specifically for parents. My guess is that parents absolutely don't need to go, but if you'd like them to come along with you to help you make what is a pretty big decision or if they're insisting, you don't need to worry about it - it seemed totally kosher last year, and I'm sure it will be again.mwells56 wrote:There are people on this board that are super against bringing parents to stuff but I'm going to disagree. (as an aside, it WAS pretty funny to listen to a small handful of the parents talk in the lobby -- they were doing that thing where they were trying to one-up each other based on their kid's accomplishments while there were other things going on for the admitted students. Lots of "oh, well, Dave is an EAGLE SCOUT who cured cancer as his final project" "wow that's amazing! Julia just got back from two years living in the woods among the animals and figured out the meaning of life" "wow what an experience, but that's nothing like Kate, who just..."
Outside looking in, it was pretty cute tbh)

Good because I'm pretty sure my parents would insist on coming - especially if I'm hoping for any kind of help paying for school!covfefe wrote:I went to one of the open houses with a friend who was admitted last year and there were PLENTY of people who had parents come along. Held today. The saga continues.. originally signed up for a group interview, it was canceled. Had an abomination of an alumni interview. Reached out to admissions after the interview, and they set up a skype time for me with an adcomm and then they never skyped me. After that I asked them to move forward with making a decision on my app with no more interviews.. a month later they tell me they are holding my app. I suppose it just wasn't meant to be. Was originally really excited about GULC.

I got what I guess is a preferred wait list: we aren't going to make a decision yet, but we are interested, so hold tight as we want to see what the rest of the class starts looking like and we'll let you know in 6 weeks. I know I'm a weirdo for a bunch of reasons but I guess I only did medium at the interview. I have a guess as to why. Oh well. :/ fingers crossed and candles lit.ibdespirito wrote:anyone hear anything today?

Hey ya'll I am super confused about this hold status; :/
Got the hold email today but my stats are minor splitter: 3.4 GPA, 176 LSAT. Anyone have any intel on what to expect??
Seems like the hold list usually gets WL but my LSAT is 9 above median so I am pretty lost.
Note: This was second LSAT, first was 164.
Note: GPA tanked sophomore year, rose enormously last two years

The intel I have gathered this info from just combing through forums on this site I thought the LSAT should be on the auto-admit side... I guess not.monsterc_ wrote:Is the held --> WL info based on previous cycles? I havent combed through old data yetctvinson wrote:Hey ya'll I am super confused about this hold status; :/

Has anyone applied in January heard back or at least received interview request yet? I submitted my application on 1/1/2018, and have heard nothing so far
