I was planning to apply around Nov-Dec, when my app will be perfect, but I will actually apply as soon as the first one here will post his admission, with an incomplete application, rushing the personal statement and forgetting the addenda I prepared carefully in advance.

Got my letter! No interview. The letter had a very kind handwritten note from dean cornblatt. Georgetown is one of my top choices so very excited!

Also, when was the letter dated/postmarked, if you don’t mind me asking!

Congrats!! Also also (lol), was it just a letter in an envelope? Or was it more like shipped in a thin, cardboard envelope? Sounds like a stupid question, but I'm K-JD and my college will notify me if it's in the cardboard but will make me just guess and come check if it's in just a regular envelope...

It's a small envelope made of thick(ish) paper. It's sized like a greeting card, not a standard letter size.

After how many weeks should I be worried about not hearing back from GTown? I had my group interview before I applied so I'm not to sure how long it will take before I hear something back.

Has anyone been accepted using GRE scores in lieu of LSAT?

In! Got my letter on Friday as well. It comes in a deceivingly small envelop so I was a little concerned at first it was a deny / wait-list.

Handwritten note from the dean & no interview.

Does anyone have any insights on who they pick for interviews and why? I can't see a trend in the numbers at all. Just curious.

I heard it's mostly a lot of potential YP and borderline applicants that get targeted first. After that they just pick people in the georgraphic areas that correspond with where Dean Cornblatt will be.

Ha - and now I get to speculate whether I'm the YP or the borderline. :) Thanks!

With your stats I would say 100% the former.

I don't think it should be any cause for concern. I've seen some people on LSN get admitted without any interview at all.
I got the interview request email with the wave early this week, just haven't been contacted since agreeing.
I had to call them and they reassigned me
It's been a week and I have not heard from the alum.

Will call today.

Thanks for the generous read on the situation! I've been feeling a little frozen out of several schools so I wonder sometimes....not sure if coincidence, age, or something I did wrong on my app.

Checking in, just got “held”. Quick research says this is at least a better scenario than being waitlisted. Anyone have any insight on chances after being held and the timing of the final decision? I applied in September, alumni interview about two weeks ago.

I'm in the same boat. What did they tell you? I think I'm going to follow up with them tomorrow,
