I was planning to apply around Nov-Dec, when my app will be perfect, but I will actually apply as soon as the first one here will post his admission, with an incomplete application, rushing the personal statement and forgetting the addenda I prepared carefully in advance.

Checking in. New poster here.
Just received an unsolicited fee waiver. In the email, they gave us medians for the Fall 2017 entering class - 167 LSAT and 3.79 GPA.

Wow that is extremely useful! I suggest you to post it on the "2020 class medians" thread on this forum (admission section)

Anyone else get an email from GULC with an invitation to group interview? I haven't applied (obviously, since the app is not even open) so what is this interview for?

Also got the email. The group interviews are a normal, though not required, part of their admissions process.

Should interview requests be seen as mainly for borderline candidates or YP candidates? Not sure what to think about where I stand with the interview as a urm.

Submitted! Had a really good (I think) optional essay for the page 150 of your autobiography prompt from last cycle. When I saw that on their website a week ago I didn't realize it was from last cycle. Couldn't think of anything worth writing for any of this year's prompts. Hope it doesn't hurt my app!

Checking in! DC here - Georgetown a top choice. Gnashing teeth over wait for LSAT though...is it worth even asking for a fee waiver before scores are out? GPA is 3.95 but I don't think my LSAT was great.

How important is the group interview to the admissions process?

I would happily go to one, but the interviews they have set up in my location are all during the work day (so already difficult) and are timed during periods when I already have meetings.

Does not interviewing drastically hurt my chances?

Signed up for a group interview, but there was a scheduling conflict and they cancelled the session. Took leave from work to be able to be in DC for the interview. Oh well  guess I will just go up and do a self guided tour of the school.

I don't think I will be able to make another interview session though. Hope it doesn't hurt my chances.

I actually love this. Only I worry I would be too wacky and it would get awkward real fast.

"Top 10 foods that reflect my personality."
"Top 10 Sci-fi/Fantasy characters I relate to."
"Top 10 places to scratch on a dog." (Spoiler: numbers 4-7 are all behind the ears.)

I tried, it went awkward, I skipped the question.... But I'd go with the dog one if I were you!

I'd go with the sci/fantasy characters, that seems really interesting!
