I was planning to apply around Nov-Dec, when my app will be perfect, but I will actually apply as soon as the first one here will post his admission, with an incomplete application, rushing the personal statement and forgetting the addenda I prepared carefully in advance.

Oh nice - thanks for asking them. I wasn't sure how much I should be in contact with them but did submit a LOCI. I guess we will just continue to wait.

Just got this. Seems like there was waaaay less May movement this year than last year. I think people got off throughout May last year so it seems surprising that they sent this as early as May 10?

I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to you today as part
of our continuing efforts to keep you apprised and to give you an
update on the Waiting List at Georgetown Law. We've just finished
taking inventory of the responses to our first tuition deposit
deadline. The response to this deadline was quite strong.
Consequently, we don't anticipate that there will be any further
movement on the waitlist until after our second deposit deadline on
June 1. These things do have a way of changing though, so it's
possible we may reach out to you in the next few weeks. But you will
receive an update from us no later than June 7.

We will continue to update you as we know more. Thank you for your
continued interest in Georgetown Law.

Best,

Andy

Ah. I also think part of it is there was a huge increase in applications this year/ cycle was quite competitive.

Yeah, but from what I understand, they still admit and wait list the same amount of people whether they have more total applicants or not. So it's really more about how many people put down deposits of the ones who were accepted, and I guess that happened to be very high this year as well. But the more people accepting is probably due to more people being committed to Gtown compared to previous years as well as applicants who in the past may have gotten into a Top 10 school going to Georgetown now because it's become even more competitive at those better schools. But it's very unusual for there to be such little movement in May anywhere. I haven't heard of a single person who got in this round. From previous threads, usually the largest wave is after the first deposit, and a slightly smaller wave after the second one, so if there's nothing after the first deposit, there probably won't be much after the second one either.

Yeah I agree with that. GULC is my #1 choice and given the way it looks, I will be retaking the lsat and reapplying next year. This cycle was wild, imo.

Hey guys hopefully we should be seeing some waitlist movement soon. I just received a feeler call today asking if I would accept an offer if admitted. Georgetown is my top choice so I'm super excited :)

Congrats!! That's a great sign! Would you mind sharing your stats or what percentiles you fall into? :)

Also did other people receive the email update yesterday?

I did receive an email update asking for level of interests by 29 May. I thought it was a good sign but I’m getting really anxious. It seems like feeler call is the only way in.

There’s a group even better than preferred! Yikes I guess that’s not a good thing...
Wonder if they called all them off the list yet
