He told us it would take two to three weeks, maybe even more with the holiday season. It's definitely too early.seventiesbaby wrote:Just wondering if anyone who participated in the NYC Dec. 5th interviews has heard back yet?

I would say rule of thumb, based on this cycle and last last, that it takes 3 weeks to get an answer after an interview and another week for the snail mail to come in.

How long is it recommended to wait before reaching out to admissions about not receiving an ED decision past the 3 week timeline they follow? I went complete on 11/21 and have not heard anything as of today

Do ED acceptances only come out by physical letter like RD acceptances? If so, your letter could be sitting in the mail or an office but the decision has already been made. I received my letter nearly month after the date on it. You could wait and see. That being said, I would wait until at least 4 weeks. I know their timeline is 3 weeks but it can't hurt to give them a couple days extra and then reach out politely by email/phone.

Any consensus on how tough it is to get off the WL? Pretty bummed after what I thought was an excellent alum interview

How is GULC with scholly $? I heard not good but I also heard that they randomly call people and ask basically how much they need to give for you to go. Which is true?

Did anyone from the Dec 4 interview in D.C. hear anything back yet? Were any of you ED applicants ?
Also, are all the acceptances coming in by mail this year? Or are there some people getting notified by email ?

I thought it is by mail but I think waiting 4 weeks sounds reasonable. I’m just freaking out a little bit because it seems like most ED applicants have heard in that 3 week frame so it’s looking a little dim for me at the moment

ED applicant that was deferred here.
Does anybody on this forum know what the process going forward looks like for applicants that were deferred?
Additionally, how good are my chances, if any?
Thanks!!

I wouldn't be discouraged. As far as I can tell, people who were dinged, waitlisted, or held to RD usually heard back a few days or the day of the 3 week deadline (including myself when I was held). It is very possible that the reason you are over the 3 week timeline is because your letter is coming to you via snail mail.brownam6 wrote:jd21 wrote:.brownam6 wrote:How long is it recommended to wait before reaching out to admissions about not receiving an ED decision past the 3 week timeline they follow? Just got "Preferred" waitlisted, ahh well I figured with the long wait. Wish they would've told me sooner though. Good luck to everyone else! May snail mail be in your future!

how did you guys send them your Why Georgetown essays, if you did one? I assume either by email or the optional addendum slot on the app?
