Interviewed on 11/1. I'll also commit to accepting defeat if there's nothing by this Saturday.aheimz wrote:Yea i think if there’s nothing by next Tuesday, I’ll just have to get over it. I interviewed with an alum on 11/7 and haven't heard back yet. I'm gonna give it one more week before accepting defeat.

I have a really silly question -- I went to a group interview yesterday and emailed a thank you note to Dean Cornblatt immediately afterward via a form in the Georgetown directory. I did not realize that he was going to send out a "thank you for attending" email the next day. Now I feel like I should reply to the email I got from him today, but also feel awkward doing that since it'd be somewhat redundant. Should I reply or just leave it alone?

Nightmare alumni interview today. I ended it after about 10 minutes because I couldn't take anymore of the interviewer's condescension. Really strange experience. Almost certainly not getting in.

Really sorry to hear that. Would you mind giving details? I’m horrified / fascinated that an interviewer would behave in such a way.NavyNuke wrote:Nightmare alumni interview today. Though I’m sure you’re drowning in options, I’d suggest that if GT interests you to email the admissions office (without making too much of a fuss).

Wow Sorry you had to go through that. If you haven't already, I would definitely email the admissions staff about your experience, maybe they'll take your side into account, and maybe they'll remove them from the interview roster if others have complained as well. I hate to think other people have to go through such a terrible interview too..NavyNuke wrote:Nightmare alumni interview today. Hey guys- just completed an alumni interview on 11/28, applied 10/13, looking forward to seeing how everyone’s cycle works out. I thought the interview was pleasant, and it seemed like a “sell Georgetown” more than a “who are you?” Type of interview. Good luck everyone!

Re: Georgetown University Law c/o 2021 Applicants (2017/2018)
Guys, could someone tell me whether waitlist and hold are the same thing here? The email I got said they are putting my application on hold and will reevaluate it after they have a better sense of the application pool. So I assumed this is a waitlist because I didn't apply ED, but others are telling me it's a hold. I'm assuming it's the same thing and that there is no meaningful difference, but correct me if I'm wrong. Thanks!
Edit: Just googled the difference. It looks like there is a hold list and a waitlist and the hold list is basically a waitlist for people who applied early, not necessarily ED. Is this the general consensus?

I think its better than a waitlist? If they are holding their decision they are basically waiting to see what the applicant profile will look like before making a decision on your application. Meaning you will probably get another update from hem much sooner than a waitlist applicant. Or at least thats my understanding of the hold distinction.wannabegenius wrote:Guys, could someone tell me whether waitlist and hold are the same thing here?
